It instantly became our labs favorite go-to toy! There are three great features: a squeaker, a blinking light, and the soft plastic spikes that they can't break off, which help clear their teeth. I got three of these months ago. The squeaker went after a few weeks, but the lights have kept working. It is so fun to throw this at night and see the light blinking as it moves across your lawn and to see it blinking in your dogs mouth as he or she runs back with it. It stops after movement - about 10 seconds. My first one was a gift to my puppy, and it was a gift to me because it always offers fun for both of us!

I have purchased ~10 of these balls over the last year or so. My Australian Shepard loves them for back yard fetch, especially at night. They are designed to squeak when squeezed and when reinflating after being squeezed. They also have a battery inside and flashing LEDs that trigger whenever the ball receives a shock, like hitting the ground after being thrown or grabbed out of the air by the dog. So you can squeeze the ball and throw it, and it will squeal (and sometimes flash lights) through the air and then flash colors for a few seconds more when it hits the ground. For safety by insuring the integrity of the rubber ball, the ball is molded shut and the batteries can not be replaced. And I have found the ball itself in all cases to be basically indestructible. So my dog never breaks open the balls and gets at the battery. I do not let him use them as chew toys. The normal lifetime of the first balls I bought went like this. Flashing lights and squeak both worked and the lights lasted for 2 to 3 weeks of daily play. Then gradually the battery would run down. The flashing lights would dim and then stop working. The squeaker would continue to work, for at least months if not forever. With at least half of the recently purchased balls, the squeaker device inside the ball falls out of the air tub after 2 or 3 days, and once immediately. No more squeak. An obvious manufacturing defect and a shame.

Love the Ball it’s just a little disappointing that it Doesn’t Glow in the Dark’. It looks great though but unless it’s bounced? It won’t light up!. When Iam in my Yard and it’s thrown Dog can’t see where it has gone too! Other wise Great 👍

Dog loves he can't get enough, lights still worked about 4 months in when the ball finally broke ( it lasted quite long considering it had 4 labs and a rat terrior playing with it daily) Would probably break way sooner if you have a chewing dog. Mine are all just ball obsessed, and treat it like a God toy.

We had one of these 4.5" Spiky Squeak balls for our German Shepherd Dog which lasted about 2-1/2 years. It was mostly an outside ball and our dog absolutely loved it and never lost interest. It was perfectly round, squeaked, and lite up when it hit the ground which is what it was supposed to do. With the light, it was also great for playing at night. A few months ago, the squeaker stopped working, then the light diminished, and recently, the ball lost its round shape becoming more donut-shaped. Understandable since the ball was outside quite a bit of the time. The spikey parts are also great for his teeth and gums and never wore out. I was eager to replace the ball and ordered this one. The ball arrived and was perfectly round, the squeaker worked great, but it did not light up. I returned it to Amazon and they sent a replacement. The replacement arrived and the squeaker worked great, the ball lit up beautifully, but the ball has 2 "flat" sides on it rather than being a round sphere like a typical ball. The flat sides make it difficult to bounce when one of the flat sides contact the ground. It's like trying to bounce a football and the ball bounces in different directions. That may be OK for a dog, but not OK when I'm trying to play with him and bounce it. The flat sides also make it difficult to roll it to him in a straight line. I would have rated it 5 stars if it was as advertised and - " a ball". I also wouldn't be writing a bad review if the replacement was OK. Having received 2 defective balls makes me cautious about the quality. UPDATE 10/9/23: After having this ball for 2 weeks, the light completely stopped working. My dog loves this toy and is not at all rough with it. He plays with it outside on the turf, then insists on brining it inside so it doesn't stay outside in the weather. The squeaker still works great, but I expected the light (which initially worked beautifully) to at least last longer than 2 weeks.

My dog LOVES these! I am glad I bought two at the time. I received blue and yellow (unfortunately you can’t select your colour). The blue one was great when we had snow as it was easy to find, especially when it was flashing at nighttime. That one is now the indoor one and the yellow is the outdoor one. The flashing light still works in both and they have survived several months of hard kicks down the yard and being pounced on by a ~70lb (ish) mastiff mix. The squeaker seems to be a very enticing one for my dog and, when she’s not catching the ball midair, she loves doing little nibbles on the spikes. If your dog is one that tends to destroy toys, this likely isn’t a great one for them. But if your dog loves to play fetch, this is fantastic! I’ve since purchased another two. One for a Christmas gift for a pup in the neighbourhood and one as a backup for my girl. I’ve included a video which shows how the ball flashes and the sound of the squeaker, as well as photos showing the size of the ball relative to my dog’s size. 10/10 would recommend!

This ball is very durable. We have a beagle that loves destroying her toys, she’s had this ball for serveral weeks now and not only is it still in one peice but the squeak and flashing light are both still working. The squeak is annoying lol

My two black labs normally destroy any new toy within a few hours. That one is lasting!
