Pro's and Con's, would buy again
These are amazing in terms of calorie intake. I just started keto and I wondered what I was going to do with my pasta obsession so... decided to try these. I don't know a lot of asian recipes but I know italian recipes so this is what I did: Opened the package. Put them on a strainer under water and moved them around to rinse them. The smell is kind of nasty but once you rinse them the smell is gone. Put them in a hot pan with a bit of olive oil and sprinkled some salt and black pepper on top and moved them around with a spatula to get rid of any liquid. Then used a low carb alfredo sauce with mushrooms and cooked and chopped some bacon on the side. Topped them off with Parmesan cheese. BAM! The texture takes a bit to get used since it feels rubbery but they don't really taste like anything once you cook them with other stuff. All I could taste was bacon, Alfredo sauce, and Parmesan cheese. I found it one of the most satisfying meals I've had since I started keto. I must admit I did get some intestinal cramps later that day but I am not used to having a very high in fiber diet. It is the same type of cramps I've had when eating things high in fiber, like almond meal for example. Also, I should say I ate a whole bag in one sitting so managing your intake on these might make a difference. My bowel movements that night were fantastic though, so there's that. You might want to take it slow with these when you first get them. I've seen a lot of people comment that they made them ill - you might just not have the stomach for it. All in all, I will continue to eat these in moderation and perhaps a bit more once I get used to a high fiber content without the cramps. Their nutritional value is amazing for how satisfying they are. I saw there is a "Better than pasta" brand but I have not tried it. If anyone care to commend I'd love to see a comparison.

I liked them but they didn’t like me
Made these noodles in a stir fry with all kinds of veggies and herbs and peanut sauce. It tasted amazing and the noodles really were like rice noodles I’d order in a restaurant. If I had bothered to google the listed side effects of them, I would have been fair-warned about the impending “Loose stools, bloating and flatulence”. It was a beautiful meal that I even bothered to take a photo of, but followed all too soon by subtle bloating that quickly increased in intensity, that turned uncontrollable, vile, hot farts like you wouldn’t believe. I lit candles all around my house to combat the horrendous smell I couldn’t believe was coming out of me. Then it was just really painful bowel movements for like 4+ hours. I went to bed afraid to move under the blanket holding down all the sins of the Konjac noodle. I’ve never had anything like this happen to me and am still struggling the day after. If you want to try these anyway, take my advice: Enjoy them alone, and maybe don’t buy in bulk like I did. 💁🏼♀️

Definitely Different, BUT Definitely Delicious!
These noodles are definitely different...but definitely delicious, and filling. I could binge on noodles, like ramen noodles, etc. But these have a different taste and texture that take a bit of getting used to. Once I got over the novelty, I found that I do like it very much. I can't eat wheat any longer and have missed pasta and noodles. Vegetable noodles just aren't the same. These are the best that I have tried. I agree with another reviewer, it must be the oat flour that lessens the rubbery texture and improves the flavor. I don't really notice any fishy smell when I rinse them...though I must admit I try NOT to...I'm pretty sensitive to smells before eating. But I will definitely purchase these again since they help me keep my carbs down even more than other gluten free pasta and noodles. This is an excellent product even if it did take me a little time to get used to the different texture...perhaps a Western thing, or just me, but I do like them!

Good For Diabetics, Pre-diabetics and Gluten allergies
Yes, it's expensive, and yes it smells bad when you first open the package, and yes it's a lot like chewing rubber bands. On the other hand, if your a diabetic, or pre-diabetic, which I am, then this is the best alternative to pasta noodles that I've found so far. It's also great for those with gluten allergies. Bottom line gluten free, low calorie, sugar free, and most importantly low carb. A similar serving of my whole grain pasta has 40 grams of carbs vs. 4 grams of carbs for Better Than Noodles. The package came on time, and the packaging itself is excellent. The product is sealed in a plastic bag that comes inside the outer bag which is very sturdy. Expiration date is 1 1/2 to 2 years from purchase date. They smell when you open the inner bag yes, but rinse them really well in cold water before cooking and that smell disappears. I added mine to pasta sauce after boiling for 5 or 6 minutes. I suggest going heavy on the pasta sauce because it's not entirely pleasant eating this product, it's a lot like chewing rubber bands. I ate the entire serving right after cooking it because you don't want to put the leftover noodles in the frig and reheat them later, trust me. Bottom line, gluten free, and only about 10% of the carbs that regular pasta noodles have.

Think of eating hard string and this comes close. If you can force them down, they are filling. I’m just stuck with a cupboard load.
