The Very Best of Don Henley

Love this music. The first time I heard the synthesizer in Henley’s Sunset Grill I got goosebumps and melted a bit. This 1980s classic album was at every party, summer stage, punk out (although it isn’t punk) and radio stations during that time. Don’s music brings me joy. Especially ; All She Wants to do is Dance. This talented musician ensemble helped pave the way to techno, and much more. I’m happy I bought it. Love it.

Nice music

Released in 2009 and possessing 14 tracks, this remastered Very Best of Don Henley compilation spans nearly 75 minutes, and contains his finest solo hit material. Commencing with his million selling, #3 hit from 1982, Dirty Laundry, and bookending the retrospective with his 2000 minor hit (#58), an underrated gem called Taking You Home, this CD has nearly every essential hit worth mentioning. All of his captivating, catchy confections are included, highlighted by The Boys of Summer, The End Of The Innocence, and especially his underrated chart gem, the magnificient Heart of the Matter (only reaching #21), plus every song is a full-length album version, a noteworthy benefit to also consider. Overall, this CD has some legendary hits from yesteryear that prove to be a really essential testament to Henley's solo career, and I highly recommend this to others!

Muy buen Cd y llego en buen estado

Never been that eagles fan really, but i have always thought that Don Henley was the most talanted in that group. His solo performances has been a fine turn of up and down. Very easy to overlook as a mainstream fillup, but also in a way to pay some attention to. Sometimes there is a thin line of getting almost bored listen to it, but then when you are about to turn it off, some fine moments arrive.I guess this collection of songs is the ultimate of Don Henleys talent. Never too exciting, but there are moments of quality and high level of interest. Some of the songs is still worth an "ear". I belive "boys of summer" will always be Don Henleys finest moment......and it would also be mine from this fine collection of songs.

Most of his hits just wish they would have included some more

Songs I have heard here and there. The type that get stuck in your head and you end up annoying those around you while you sing it through out the day. In all honesty I really wasn't very knowledgeable of the Eagles. I watched a documentary about them and learned how much of an impact they have had on music/pop culture. I just couldn't believe these songs have come from one band! And like most stories go, band breaks up and a couple band members go solo. Most of the time these solo acts never work out. But Don Henley is an exception. I was blown away by the number of songs he did that were actually good. Not Eagle makeover songs, but original music. Plus the guy has a great voice. I'm no Eagles diehard fan, but you have to respect what they did and the solo career of Henley. Great collection of music you've heard before, and it just feels good.

Excellent album ! Excellent mastering pour la plupart des pistes! Une ouverture impressionnante sur bon nombre de plages, notemment "The Boys Of Summer", "New-York Minute", "Sunset Grill" où la lisibilité et la profondeur de la scène sonore s'expriment pleinement. Les instruments (nombreux) sont bien mis en avant surtout dans le final de "Sunset Grill" sans jamais perdre en intelligibilité. La voix de Don Henley se dévoile avec subtilité dans cette balade à travers cette sélection et parvient à vous transporter. Certaines pistes comme "The Heart of the Matter" sont cependant meilleures à mon sens en version acoustique du concert "Hell freezes Over". Je conseille cet album pour le reste !Livraison rapide et efficace de la part d'Amazon.
