I want to connect USB devices like a keyboard to my original Xbox — will this adapter work?

Yes, this female USB to Xbox adapter allows compatible USB peripherals to connect to an original Xbox console (Gen 1, 2001-2004), providing a USB-A female socket on the Xbox controller port.

Is this adapter compatible with Xbox 360 or Xbox One, or only the original first-generation Xbox?

This adapter is for the original first-generation Xbox (2001-2004) ONLY. It is NOT compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, or any other generation controller ports.

Can I use this to connect a USB game controller to the original Xbox for additional inputs?

Yes, this adapter allows compatible USB controllers and peripherals to connect to the original Xbox controller ports. Compatibility depends on the USB device and original Xbox software support.

Does this adapter require any drivers or software installation on the Xbox?

No driver installation is required on the Xbox. The adapter is a passive hardware connector. USB device compatibility is determined by the original Xbox's built-in support for that device type.

Will this adapter allow me to use original Xbox hardware from my PC as well?

This adapter provides a USB-A female socket for connecting USB devices to the Xbox, not for using Xbox hardware on a PC. For PC use of Xbox controllers, a separate dedicated PC adapter is needed.
