Handles are of good and strong aluminum, the holes are a little off but manageable. I drilled them out smooth because I was running a bolt all the way through the handles and frame sandwiching them to attach mirrors on the other side. My wife and I find these to be a very good accessory and really helps us get in and out of our X3.

These are great but can’t be run with mirrors unless you can find longer hardware or do what I did and drill out the holes so you can recess the screw head.
