It's only been running for about a month, but I have been very impressed!
It was a very easy installation, as it was almost the indentical size of the Hayward Super-Flo it replaced. I'd read some reviewers say that the electrical hook up part was difficult, but I did not experience that at all. It is nice and quiet, seems to have plenty of power and I really couldn't be happier, after one month. Time will be the big tell. I am almost certain that the old Hayward was original equipment, but I'm not certain how old that would make it. I'd run it for 6 years, and I feel that's not a bad life, but the previous owner may have had it rebuilt. Don't know about that. But that is the real test of an electric motor, how well will it age? We. Will. See.

DO NOT BUT THIS PUMP as it DOES NOT LAST LONG.
I had to replace my existing Hayward pump and tried to save money purchasing this pump after reading great reviews on Amazon. The pump was EXCELLENT! out of the box, quiet and powerful and after 4 months the motor is great but it pumps a trickle of water that will not even register on the pressure gauge. The hayward pump i replaced worked for 4 years and the Texas spring freeze killed it but now i will eat what i spent and purchase another Hayward...BEWARE

Works well, I think I'll upgrade to 2 inch hoses with this one.

Good pump for a matched application.
I bought it because it will easily run on a 15 amp 125VAC circuit. If you want more power use one that runs on 240 - 250 VAC.

Keeps breaking
Bought in Feb and replacing in December None of the seals etc. are standard and can’t replace them. No way to contact the company for replacements and past the return period or I would return it. It was cheap but with all of the service calls I could have bought something more substantial. Disappointing.
