Easy install & perfect fit
This was the easiest appliance repair I ever had. A quick You Tube search led me to this product and to its install. It only took minutes to install and has been working perfectly for 2 weeks now. Sure wish I would have done this sooner instead of having to deal with frozen blocks of ice cubes. for years

Fixed my ice outage
This works perfectly. There is no unusual noise and no loudness. It is easy to change. I went through all troubleshooting for loss of function of the prior tray and the new tray fixed it. If your Samsung does not have water suddenly, and you have not just changed the water filter and can still get water from the tube, just buy this. You can find the trouble shooting codes deep in ann internet search or LLM for maintenance, and if you go through them (I don’t recall the code), it will likely not give a clear answer.

Works and easy to DIY
Very simple install. Works great and now i have ice again! Been installed for about a month with no issues. It isn't a samsung replacement event though the description says it is, but looks exactly the same other than the model number info on the unit itself.

Design flaw with the unit has not been resolved...
There is a design flaw with this ice maker that causes it to fail. I know how to resolve the issue, but it was just easier to replace the whole unit. With this said, the unit is very easy to remove and install and ANYONE can do it. It takes about five minutes to remove and install, so this is a simple thing to do. DO NOT pay a repairman to come replace your unit. If your ice maker still has ice in the tray but the ice will not come out, you have encountered the design flaw with this unit. You can pull the tray out by pressing the tab at the front of the unit, and then pulling from the back. You will need to remove the panel to the left of the ice compartment and disconnect a power/communications cable from behind the panel. If you are buying this unit, you can then reverse the process to put the new one in. If you want to repair your existing unit, there is a thermal fuse that you have to replace. I have put a video on YouTube that shows how to do this if you choose to save the money and just replace the fuse. The video title is Samsung Ice Maker Repair - RF4287HARS/XAA AND SIMILAR MODELS. This will show you how to remove/replace the ice maker, and how to get to the thermal fuse. If you want to do it the easy way and get a brand new unit, the part number is: SAMSUNG DA97-07365G Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002UQY3LE If you want to replace the thermal fuse, the part is: Thermal Fuse Cutoff TF 102 Degree 250V 3A A1-3A-F Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Davitu-Thermal... Saving money is always a good thing, so I hope you find this helpful.

Easy fix
Took about 5 minutes to take the old ice maker out and install the new one. Had ice in a few hours. I didn’t know the old ice maker was dead but figured if the new one didn’t solve the no ice issue I could return it. So glad I didn’t call a repairman. Saved hundreds of dollars and it was the easiest repair I’ve ever made.

SAMSUNG DA97-07365G Assembly icemaker most likely, will not fix the problem.
Samsung built in icemakers are crap. Samsung has a defective product on their hands with their icemakers, and they refuse to do little or nothing to address it, even though they are very aware of the problem already . Our Samsung refrigerator's built in icemaker has not worked properly for a few years now, never mind the fact that it is only 8 years old and we paid the price of a small used car for it brand new. So, for a while we went the route of following all the youtube suggestions of thawing it out and resetting it, etc. Each time it would solve the problem for a short period, and then it would revert back to not producing ice again. After that we resorted to just filling up trays with water and popping cubes from them. We did that for a couple of years, until finally my wife asked me to see if I could get a repair person out to fix it. After going online and seeing all the blogs and forums from others who have suffered the same fate as us, with no remedy through repairmen, I decided to order this icemaker and install it myself, having a pretty good idea based on what I had already read, that it would not resolve the problem. I ordered it, installed it, and to no real surprise to us, it produced a whopping 7-9 cubes of ice in the few days we had it installed. The install and subsequent removal were easy. I returned it to Amazon. During this period of time I had placed a call to the Samsung Customer Service Line at 1-800-726-7864 at 1254 hours on 27 July 2020, and spoke with Miguel about my problem. He asked a bunch of questions about the icemaker ( almost 20 minutes worth of questions) and then issued me Customer Ticket Request # 5125473634, and assured me that I would hear something back from the concerned folks at Samsung about my problem. Well, as I set here at 0827 hours on 6 September 2020 typing this requested review from Amazon, I have yet to hear back from the good folks at Samsung. In closing, do your family a favor, don't purchase a Samsung refrigerator, with a built in icemaker. If you are one of the unlucky schmucks like myself and are already the owner of one of these overpriced, failure to function properly appliances, purchase a Boscare countertop icemaker, and have some ice and cut your losses.
