Delicious and tender, not like machine made compressed block of hard packed confection. This candy actually does melt in your mouth, as tender, flavorful delicacy. Made with obvious skill and care, a taste to remember even as you finish. I have repurchased this several times. It brings back memories of my childhood, when my mother would drive all the way from Philadelphia to New York City to buy special spices and condiments for family gatherings. The home cooked food was always central to get togethers, and we would buy a tiny piece of locally handmade Halva .

Very good, traditional halva. However, at a middle eastern store near me I can get delicious halva at $7 a lb. Thats less than half the cost. I didn’t discover this until after I had received my order. So sadly, I will not be purchasing anymore from the supplier.

It is a good halva. (I ordered vanilla one.) But I cannot call it delicious. I'm not exactly sure but something is off. Smell when you open? (camel-like); aftertaste of first bite? (little bitter). Regardless, I ate it all and now ordering dark chocolate with almond one to give it a try.

Excellent, had halva as a kid and this was just as good as I remember. Unfortunately not very much for the price.

This is my second purchase that I use to mix into my Mandelbrot. When I was breaking the halva down, I noticed multiple pieces of plastic! I noticed that someone else had mentioned this back in July. I hope the company can destroy those batches and prepare new batches! I’ve enclosed the lot number for reference. This is a delicious halva but disappointed that there was no quality control.

I hope you like puzzles, because opening up the package was quite a doozy. I resorted to bolt cutters and dynamite - okay that's a lie, but seriously the package was way too hard to open. The taste - it's hard to gauge, the texture was doughy. Sort of like raw dough, but at the same time it was flavorful with a slight oily feel. It wasn't overly sweet, but it still tasted just fine. Slight unpleasant aftertaste - but if you spread this on something like a cracker or bread that would probably vanish. I personally prefer a drier Halvah.

Not only did the halvah arrive in one day, it is the best halvah I’ve had since childhood visiting my grandparents apartment in Long Island from the deli. The only thing I can say that’s negative is the container is very hard to open. Seals in the freshness for sure!

This is a nice and creamy less sweet Halvah that you would get in the store. I had the plain and pistachio and loved them both. The package is hard to open. If you're getting this as a gift for an elder. Pre-open the tab on the top for them.
