Does exactly what a safety kids case should do. Protects the ipad with amazing ability. We have an ipad mini that is utilized a lot by a toddler. Disney jr is a lifesaver for long trips not to mention all of the puzzle apps that itunes has. She loves the ipad. That being said, she is now 3 and started using the ipad with this case when she was 2. There isn't much about a 2 year old that is graceful and this case has withstood being dropped off the kitchen table, flung across the car, and numerous tumbles off the couch. She has also stood on it, but it's not meant for that. I love that the handle bends both ways so it stands no matter how she sits it. This works great for when more than one person is watching something...you can sit it on the table and leave it. (We've done this in a bad storm to watch the weather when the power was out)The cover is a soft rubber like material and fits the mini perfectly a pretty snuggly. We have only found two issues...One: the top of the cover is a nice place for a little one to pull on therefore pulling it away from the ipad and possibly stretching it out or even worse, fiddling with the ipad until it comes out of the cover...quick fix with double sided tape on the inside of the cover. No one is the wiser since you can't see it and it keeps the cover snug to the top. Two: The headphone jack hole is too small. It is fine if your headphones have a straight plug without the thick cover over them, but two different sets of kids headphones didn't fit in here because the plugs were too bulky...quick fix, the husband trimmed the hole in the case with a knife an now it works fine.Even after our quick fixes, I still give this a 5 star since it has held up really well and does exactly what it is supposed to do. As a side note, this does not come with a screen cover. We bought the i-blason screen cover at the same time we bought this case. Both are still going strong.

I purchased this case for my five year old son's new iPad Mini. I currently have an iPad 2 in a Gumdrop case which is excellent. I also have an iPhone with the Otterbox case. Both cases have saved those devices from numerous bumps, drops, and near misses with liquids.I was expecting the i-Blason case to be made of a silicon material it is not. The case arrived with no instructions and had a plastic insert inside of it to hold its shape. I guess the plastic insert is to be discarded. The material feels like the styrofoam that electronics are shipped in. If my kids were younger and teething, I would be very worried that they would be able to bite off chunks of the case. The iPad mini just slips through a slit in the back of the case and I think it would be pretty easy for a kids to remove the case if they wanted to. There is no screen protection so I bought the Tech Armor Anti-Glare screen protector.On the up side, the handle is the right size for little hands. Although having the handle makes my son much more likely to swing the case back and forth. The handle also has a number of positions allowing him to prop up the case when watching. We only use the stand when he is using the iPad in restaurants so that my husband and I can have a few minutes of quiet time to scarf down our meal. My son does not use the stand when he is using the iPad at home.I don't expect this case to last very long and it was relatively cheap so I will keep it until it wears out and then I will purchase the Gumdrop or Otterbox. I prefer a case that has a separate screen protector and inside plastic shell with outer silicon shell and I am willing to pay a bit more and deal with a heavier case for the peace of mind.

We bought some of these for our kids for a long road trip. They worked like a charm. The kids loved them! If you pair these cases up with a decent screen protector, you won't have to worry too much about the iPads getting damaged. The case is thick enough that it provides an adequate amount of protection if you drop the iPad screenside down onto a flat surface. It won't protect against a direct impact to the screen but no case does that I'm aware of. Kids can put the iPads in their laps for games and not have to worry about hard corners or edges being uncomfortable. Or they can flip the handle down to make a stand and watch a movie. Reading reviews from many similar products, we went with the i-Blason ArmorBox since it has almost 2800 reviews, far more than other iPad mini kiddo cases.Our main reason for getting this case is for our son (22 months old) to FaceTime with his grandparents. The handle/stand works perfectly. It keeps the iPad almost 90 degree on the landscape mode (I tried the portrait mode, it would not stand). The lightweight case is made of foam polycarbonate, not exactly "hard" but certainly not soft like silicone cases. It fits our iPad mini 2 snuggly and wraps around pretty well, but the home button, the volume control and on/off button are all still pretty easily accessible.Just like other reviewers noted, the case does not come with a transparent screen cover, those little sticky fingers will still leave marks directly on the iPad mini screen itself, but we don't think it's a big deal. He likes to carry it around like a little suitcase. Works great for us.
