Not sure how 2 use the ear tube cleaning wire. It looks 2 short 2 go through the whole tube. Not sure what tools R specifically helpful for.

I wouldn't recommend this tool kit. the wire is way to short and the only really useable tool the brush and the wire loop. Batteries come with tabs to handle them so magnet is useless.

What is the shelf life unopened?

There is no shelf life listed until you open it.One you open it, it is good for six months.

How can you tell if it's working?

I don't know exactly how these work. There is a small black spongy round thing in the bottom. The Veterans Hospital always gave these to my father then I found them on Amazon. This did work that I can tell you. Hope this helps in your decision.

will this work for widex hearing aids ?

Yes. This is what my audiologist gave me and what I’ve used since purchasing my windex hearing aids. You replace it every 6 months. Since then I’ve purchased an electric UV hearing aid sanitizer as well and I really like it, but I keep this as well because sometimes I take them out to shower or swim or use headphones.
