Purchased the Arlo Doorbell to go with my existing Arlo Pro2 camera setup. Installation was incredibly simple; the wireless version has a rechargable battery so it's not dependant on your existing doorbell transformer powering it. However, the beauty of the kit is you can then have an existing bell power supply trickle charge the battery. Best of both worlds! Wiring up to my existing bell was a doddle, just unplug the two wires on the old button and wire into the Arlo. My existing chime still works, so no need to invest in another. The kit includes a flat and an angled mount to suit most door positions. Calling from the bell to mobile phones works really well. I've found the delay between the button being pressed and my phone/tablet ringing to be within 1sec - just have it as near as possible to your wireless router. Works great with existing cameras so you can include in existing recording schedules and have other cameras trigger when the doorbell detects motion. Works with Alexa just like the other Arlo cameras do; I often have the video displayed on an Echo Show and Fire TV.

This could have been a 5 star review had it not been so unbelievably difficult to set up. Setting up 1 phone was easy enough. Just try setting up a 2nd phone and the chime 2 and this is when you start pulling your hair out !!! After setting up the 1st phone with ease you'd be forgiven for thinking that the rest would be easy..........WRONG !!! In all it took me more than 24hours to get 2 phones and the chime 2 to work. I had to ignor the instructions to invite a second person to get it to work because that failed on numerous occasions, instead in the end after almost giving up I logged the 2nd phone in using MY email account details and after receiving and accepting a message saying is this a trusted device I stumbled into getting the 2nd phone working. As for the chime, you cannot scan the code on the back of it because it is too small to read !!! I ended up photographing it , send to my email and opening the email on my laptop to read it. Even then it refused to connect to my WiFi. The whole setup process is a total nightmare. I might still send this back even now.

I live on the first floor. The arlo has proved such a boon to me, seeing who is at the front door, getting a ping when Amazon leave a parcel by the door, or seeing that a stranger is close. The £2.79 a month cost to have the videos stored is well worth it, I have used it a couple of times both to help with security and being able to prove delivery/non delivery of parcels. Easy to set up on my iphone.

This is the first time I have felt the need to leave a review of a product, but Arlo support for the UK market is a total shambles. Avoid them at all cost. After reviewing a number of home security options, I opted for the Arlo Wire-free Video doorbell, with the chime as well as two Arlo Ultra 2 cameras and a home base station. Set up was straightforward, and before long we had everything up and running. The first issue we encountered was when we realised that most of the overnight motion captured by the cameras were cats, and foxes. The system can tell the difference, but it won't do so unless you pay for the monthly subscription service. This is a really important detail, that was not clear to me before we purchased the system, but we decided to pay for the additional service, for the peace of mind. Now just over two years after we purchased the Arlo system the front door camera has died completely. As a engineer by trade, I have gone through every single troubleshooting guide there is, and the hardware just isn't working. So, these things happen, that is why Warranty exists. Navigating your way through the Arlo support websites, even as a subscriber, is an awful experience. The chatbot is less than useless. There isn't a number you can call. And the various links on the website all lead you on a merry loop, before returning you to the support home page (where you can buy extended warranty easily enough, but absolutely no means to actually claim on that warrant). So off to the community boards I go, in search of support for my now bricked front door camera. Where I discover very many customers looking for warranty for faulty cameras that are between 1-3 years old, and who are frustrated with the non-existent customer support. Your support options are either give up and buy a replacement, or learn from your mistakes and use a different vendor. You dear customer can learn from my mistake, and avoid Arlo entirely (unless you are happy with replacing your external cameras every 2 years). If you don't believe me, search online for Arlo warranty services - good luck with that.

I did a fair bit of research before purchasing a door bell, two cameras and a smart hub, Its not a simple set up process. Arlo is very supportive and patiently responded to all my queries, The product is not cheap, but is of excellent quality and there is real support from an actual person if you need it. I'm sure there are other good products from which to choose to improve your security but Arlo has got to be up there. Be mindful that you may have to pay on going data storage costs when the free trial period finishes. That's if you don't get a smart hub for local storage. Otherwise the 'cloud' soaks up countless 'motion detected' activations for up to 30 or 60 days. Good value,

Product works fine, but battery only lasts for a few weeks before having to be charged. I reported to the seller and they ignored me. UPDATED JULY 2025: i spoke to someone at customer support because i had an issue with my phone not ringing if someone and rang the bell and they were really helpful. They told me that if the camera is recording motion all the time, that will drain the battery.

Ich bin begeistert! Zugegeben, habe ich auf diese Türklingel schon lange gewartet! (Denn die von mir benötigte Wlan Funktion, gibt es erst ab Februar 2021) Ich habe einige Arlo Kameras und die dazu gehörige Basisstation. Bisher hatte ich immer die Ring Türklingel, doch diese hat mich schon lange genervt. Die Nachteile waren: eine zusätzliche App (zur ARLO), bei der damaligen Einrichtung eine Ausweitung auf 2 Repeater bzw. Chimes ohne die eine Verbindung nicht ging und dieser nervige und ätzende Abo ohne die die Türklingel eigentlich ziemlich unbrauchbar ist. Denn die Verbindung ist immer so schlecht, das es eine Ewigkeit dauert, bis man mal dran ist und bis dahin hat jeder schon die Geduld verloren und ist weg...! Also will man wenigstens wissen, wer es war...ABER ohne Moos nix los... erst muss man blechen. Toll!!!! So nun zu der Arlo... (um Welten besser!) Sie wurde ganz fix geliefert, so wie von Amazon gewohnt! Direkt den Akku aufgeladen, Einrichtung über die App lief schnell und total problemlos. Installation an der Wand/in meinem Fall an der Tür, ging auch super schnell. Direkt ausprobiert und geklingelt - mit 2 Sekunden Verzögerung einen Anruf erhalten, angenommen, Ton ist super! Das Video ist auch bei Nacht gestochen scharf - ich bin begeistert. Das Video läuft mit ca 5 Sekündiger Zeitverzögerung, auch wenn man es anschaltet, dauert es ca 5 Sekunden bis eine Verbindung hergestellt wird. ABER dazu muss ich sagen, dass ich hier von einem Haus rede, welches 200 qm hat und wo sich der Router am einen Ende des Hauses im 1. Stock und die Eingangstür mit ARLO Türklingel im Ergdeschoß am anderen Ende des Hauses befindet. In einem alten Haus mit Betonwänden. Die oben erwähnte Doorbell von Ring brauchte 2 Chimes, um die Verbindung zu überbrücken und hat für eine Verbindung ca 20 Sekunden gebraucht und ist auch sehr oft an der Videoverbindung gänzlich gescheitert. Unglaublich frustrierend! Das kann ich von der ARLO Doorbell nun gar nicht behaupten. Sie läuft super und zuverlässig und braucht diese lächerlichen Chimes überhaupt nicht zur Signalverstärkung DANKE! Es ist nämlich ätzend ein neues teures Gerät zu kaufen und dann erst mal etliche Zusatzteile erwerben zu müssen, nur damit es annähernd läuft. Ich bin von diesem ALRO Gerät begeistert! Toll, dass man sogar Sprachnachrichten abspielen kann, wenn man mal keine Lust hat zu antworten und sogar voreinstellen kann, wenn man mal seine Ruhe braucht - wie genial ist diese Idee. Die auch noch richtig gut funktioniert! Und die Alexa Anbindung funktioniert so etwas von Problemlos, dass kennt man sonst nur von Apple Geräten. Keinerlei Einrichtung nötig... Halleluja! Als die Doorbell eingerichtet wurde, hörte man vom Alexa Echo Dot einen kurzen kleinen Ton "dadum" und nach kurzer Überprüfung in der App fand man ein weiteres hinzugefügtes Gerät unter Kameras. Sagt man: "Alexa, zeig mir (Namen der Klingel, die man bei der Einrichtung gegeben hat)" öffnet sich das Video der Doorbell. "Tada..." So hat man s gerne!!! Mit der Basisstation muss man auch kein ABO erwerben, um Videoaufzeichnungen speichern zu können. Darauf hatte ich gehofft und es ist nun Wirklichkeit DANKE ARLO!
