LOVE these short adventures!
So, I'm a longtime player, my grandma taught me to play as a kid, and now I DM for my own children. I love that these adventures are short and fun without being too difficult for my 12 year old to keep focus on. They are currently getting worked into a longer campaign I am doing for them where they trade off between longer and shorter storylines. I also like how there are comments from the authors of the adventures to give you ideas of how to approach the story if you are adding them to a different campaign or world. Some of the more difficult adventures are more dark, but if you have kids who enjoy the Mazerunner books or the Hunger Games, then this isn't going to be any scarier than those. But these are so much more than just "kid" campaigns - my kids(12/15/16) have outgrown a lot of the more kid oriented adventures that are out there. I see some of these as great jumping points to get them used to D&D specific concepts before taking them into some of the big campaigns - for example, the one about the were-ravens would be a great intro before heading into Strahd (that's what I'm planning on doing). I think adults would enjoy these just as much as teenagers - I plan on showing the book to my own DM to see if he wants to do any of them with the adult group (we just have to wait long enough for me to forget the details, or else I just don't read the second half of the book!). Long story short, I LOVE this book, because sometimes you want an adventure that you can complete in just a session or two. I think it's great for adolescents and adults, and if you have some extremely intrepid younger kids, you could probably run a few of these with younger kids if they have a little assistance - I think younger kids would love the one with the Mordenkainen's magnificent mansion. The cats and faerie dragons add just the right amount of whimsy that bridge the gap between being silly and cerebral. But there are also plenty of crypts and cultists to keep the more serious and horror loving adult players happy, too.

This one's FRESH!
Remember that word? Yeah, that's what it is, Fresh! What a great book full of one-shot Adventures, 17 to be exact. Each Adventure is for a different player level (1- 17) which I think is super cool. Each quest is uniquely centered around a particular book in Candlekeep which kicks things off. I'm excited to hand this one off to my Dm to take my own level 1 character through Candlekeep Mysteries! And he ain't leaving till level 17. The artwork is beautiful as always when it comes to 5e D&D books, and the layout of this multi-adventure book is easy to navigate. Skimming through it I saw very imaginative and well written stories that seem promising in providing loads of entertainment. I get mine today and can't wait!

Side adventures add depth to the campaign world
The negative reviews focusing on "woke culture" were a big help in leading me to buy this book. As a DM who is running a campaign with two 12 year old girls playing, it's about time we see some content that appeals to a broader audience. As it turns out, "woke culture" boils down to some NPC's with ambiguous genders so you can decide for yourself how many men and women appear on your world. Considering that I was already changing a lot of men to women in the other published material in an effort to get some balance, this is a welcome change for me. There is a large variety between these adventures and I doubt any campaign would want to use them all. But, it seems like just about any campaign would find several of them to be very interesting side adventures. The adventures aren't mysteries in the sense that Sherlock Holmes is going to call everyone into the room and reveal the bad guy at the end. Almost all of them involve stopping evil plots, usually through combat. The mystery part is that most of the adventures start with a strange happening and no clear cause. The players have to do a little bit of investigative work to figure out who or where the bad guys are. Many of them involve travel to interesting settings and the NPC's are pretty well detailed so that a mediocre DM like myself can give them memorable personalities. This book helps provide some depth and variety to my campaign world.

Great book for new DMs!
This is an awesome book of adventures, especially if you're thinking about getting into DMing for the first time. Most adventures have pretty simple maps and not too many types/numbers of enemies to keep track of, so it'll keep your prep work low. No matter if you're wanting a one shot or a starting place for a longer campaign there are a ton of fun adventures in here to choose from. And while each adventure is self contained, it's not too hard to come up with a reason for your party to stick around candlekeep if you want to run all of them one after the other.

What I Ordered, Not a Great Modular
The book came in perfect condition. The campaign setting Faerun. The modular is a little difficult to get through and very railroady. Which is fair considering it's a modular, but opens very little options for backstory or character development since you're pretty much pigeon-holed into being a the grand library. Might be good for newer DMs or if you're interested in just stripping info for your ow campaign.

Good supplement with some interesting ideas.
I have enjoyed this resource so far. While I’m not sure how often I would use Candlekeep itself as a setting, most of the short adventures themselves and their hooks are easy to adapt and insert in other locations. Basing an adventure around a mystical, mysterious book is a nice, unique touch and is a great springboard for additional narratives. I’m sure I won’t end up using every encounter included in the book, but I will certainly use enough to make this a valuable purchase.
