I tried the whole "store what you eat and eat what you store" and it's a pain in the ass... Expecally when you have people in your house that don't share your theology of being prepared. So I changed up my game plan and decided that the wise foods/mountain house (they are owned by the same parent company, so essentially they are the same product) was the best route to go. I looked into piece mealing a 30 day food supply together and by buying things indivually but the food alone was going to be around $450.00 before storing it. And I wasn't going crazy wirh designer means I'm talking rice, beans, oats, ect. Off amazon I pick up the 120 dinner and 120 breakfast buckets and for about $375 I have basically a months worth of food for 4 adults which I believe will likely take my young family of four a little bit farther expecially because I have a lot of rice stored away as well but that's a whole other article. I grew up eatting C rations and the first generation if MRE's that my father would bring home from the field, and the past 14 years I've eatten unumeraratanle amount of MRE's and I have to say the wise food/mountain house foods taste as good if not better than what our fine troops all over the world eat so I give it 5 stars.

If you’re gonna buy food for emergencies this is where it’s at!! Nice tote that’s air sealed and ready to go and the food quality is impressive… Don’t be ashamed to have 3-4 of these under the bed
