Ive usually use watercolor and played a little with guache before so I wanted to try a set. This type of guache is interesting because its always able to change on the paper (like its not set when wet- its still allows wiggle room/ room to play). The color of the case is cute and the color pucks inside allow you a lot of options. This stuff straight up is SUPER opaque almost like acrylic paint. I still have a lot to learn with this medium so as a beginner I think I would start with a smaller set that has the primaries and black and white- but value for money this is awesome.

These are lovely! The packaging is super aesthetically pleasing and comes with a little palette as well. I was expecting it to be a lot smaller than it actually is so it was a pleasant surprise to see how heavy it is! You get a wide variety of colors and they do not dry out easily. The only issue I had was removing the plastic on top of the paints, which was slightly messy. Great price point! I would recommend these for anyone new to gouache.

I still use these colors and they are wonderful! Light fastness is also great.

Love the set, did a quick painting with it but I guess gouache is not for me. Colours are very vibrant when opaque. Paintbrushes provided are great as well as the palette. My box came with a rather large crack on it but it's not really that noticeable as it's in the middle of the paint. Not sure how that happened given it was wrapped quite rightly with layers of bubble wrap that took ages to get off.
