I was not expecting to like this case so much. It was a replacement case,, and I really liked my other case, which is no longer available. This one had great reviews, but I was still very skeptical. But wow - I love this case! My old case actually added quite a bit of bulk and size to my Kindle, and I wasn't really recognizing that. But at the same time, I don't think it protected my Kindle very well. This one is much more rigid than my other case, and I feel that the Kindle is just safer. Another surprise was how snug the Kindle fits into the case. With my other case, I had to slide the Kindle in a little pocket, but the Kindle could move around. This is very secure. I was also uncertain about the red color, but it is a very pleasant red. The cover flips back nicely and the case is just easy to hold while reading the Kindle. The magnetic closure is secure, but not too strong either - it's easy enough to open. This seems like just a perfect case - I have absolutely no complaint at all with it. I am thoroughly happy and thrilled with it.

I love this cover. In fact, it saved my kindle! I had the original lighted cover for my Kindle Keyboard, the one with tabs that linked the kindle to the cover an powered the light. However, when my toddler daughter got ahold of it and tried to "turn the page", she bent the tabs and broke the mounting holes on the kindle. This meant I couldn't really replace the lighted tab, so I went to look for one that held it in place by some other means. This cover is a perfect fit! It is very easy to put the kindle into the case, and it is easy to take it back out. The PU leather feels great, but it is also very tough stuff. Best of all, this case is far lighter than the Amazon cases. I find reading with this a much more pleasant experience. In fact, even when I am doing heavy annotating, I don't take the kindleout. I can fold back the cover and type quite comfortably with the cover in place. In fact, I prefer this cover over the original amazon covers. This is because it is smaller, lighter, and I think it offers more protection. Best of all, it doesn't look like a page to a toddler, and so no more destructive turning events will occur!

It is easy to snap the Kindle into place, as well as remove it from the case when needed. It fits snuggly without damaging the Kindle's body. It is a lovely color, the magnetic snap closure works well, and the material seems to be good quality and durable. It makes a breeze out of carrying around my Kindle while keeping it protected.

This is the perfect case for my old keypad Kindle, replacing the cover I bought when the Kindle was new in 2011. The quality material looks attractive; the color is beautiful. The Kindle snaps right into the case easily, much like a phone snaps into its case. The magnetic clasp holds it firmly closed. I can’t say enough about this case — highly recommended!

The case fits perfectly and is one of the few cases still made for the kindle keyboard. I mean you can tell it's PU and cardboard, put together like a ninth grade arts and crafts project. The front cover doesn't automatically line up with the case part when it's closed unless you push it into place. Given what it is, I don't foresee this lasting very long, but it looks nice and fits well enough. Snaps right into place. My case came without any packaging at all, like no box, and as you would expect given zero protection, it also came with a couple of dents in the corners and edges of the board. I thought about exchanging it, but just going to keep it. Given its extremely cheap construction, it will get banged up anyways. It does add a bit of weight to the kindle, but it's a nice weight. Easy to use, I really like the magnet that holds the cover down. Overall, I got this because my kindle keyboard feels so fragile without protection, especially with the screen and how thin the thing is. Removed one star because of the delivery and the defects.

Received my 3rd generation kindle from a friend many years ago, and the cover that came with it was literally disintegrating. I was very surprised and happy to find they still make a cover to fit it! The red color I chose is lovely and a pleasure to look at. The cover seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that the metal latch is on the front instead of the back, which to me makes it seem awkward to open. Once it's open, though, I love that the front cover folds completely backwards, making it easy to hold onto with one hand. Would definitely recommend.

I really like this case. It holds the Kindle securely, with openings so the controls, charging port, and speakers remain accessible even with the cover closed. The cover itself flips all the way around so it can fold back behind the main part of the case and Kindle (hopefully that makes sense) so it can be moved totally out of the way if you want to hold it more like you were just holding the Kindle itself. It does not add much weight or size to the Kindle. I saw another review saying the magnetic latch broke and the Kindle fell out. I haven't had any problems with the latch so far, but even if it did break I don't know how the Kindle would fall out. The Kindle kind of "snaps" into place, so even if I open the cover and turn it upside down (with the Kindle facing the ground for example) and shake it, the Kindle is still held very securely. Perhaps that user was using a Kindle model that isn't really compatible with this case? I got mine in black, so I don't know what the ones with colors look like.
