I have oily skin and my problem is my makeup looks so cakey afterwards from using powder, will the matte primer prevent that Cakeyness?

I am not a skin expert by any means! Plus your skin type is totally opposite of mine. Afraid I can not advise you one way or the other about this primer. My daughter has combination skin and loves the matte. She is one who turned me on to this primer but because my skin is very dry, I ordered the more moisturizing choice.

Regarding face primer-i’m 57 with dry, with spots of flakiness, also fine lines & creases-will the face primer accentuate this or help hide?

I routinely exfoliate my skin,which improves the performance of any cosmetic item. Apply your daytime moisturizer,and let it absorb completely . Blot a bit if needed. Apply a thin coat of the primer and let it set a bit before applying makeup. If you use liquid foundation,do so with a light hand so as not to pick up the primer. You should not have trouble with flakes if you prep your skin correctly. I find that this product keeps makeup from sinking into fine lines.

Is also for African American skin?

I have only used the eyeshadow primer & I don’t know if there would be a difference

I love it. I wear it after serums and moisturizer. And dab a loose powder after, gives a very natural finish. Also tried layering it with tinted serum and it blends very well keeping the longevity of the make up

BROKE ME OUT

This was supposed to be a “skin friendly product” and got it after reading all the good reviews.I used this for a few days and my face broke out, wasn’t sure if it was because of this. I stopped using it for a week or so and my face calmed down. Then tried using it again and now my face is a complete mess, pimples and whiteheads everywhere.
