Godzilla vs. Kong: The Official Movie Novelization

* - MOVIE SPOILERS - * For any big Godzilla fan, I would strongly recommend reading this after watching the movie. Ren's character is a lot more fleshed out, Mark is written better, Mechagodzilla's design, the tech behind it, and subsequent rampage are explained a lot better; I absolutely loved the movie but I actually wish this was how the movie went. Great read

I enjoyed the movie even though it was very stupid and the book is a good companion piece. The author is able to fill in some gaps in the story and helps you understand more details.

I actually read this without seeing the movie. Honestly, I’m glad I did. I doubt the movie would’ve had as much depth as the book did. I enjoyed reading it.

The Godzilla novelizations have been fun. I've enjoyed them, and Mr. Keyes does an incredible job in fleshing out the characters and plot of the recent film. His chapter intros are particularly good, and add to the sense of mystery to the origins of both Godzilla and Kong. The text is easy to read and one doesn't have to think too much about what's going on. It's a shame that novelizations and tie-in's to films are dismissed. This book really adds a lot of information that the movie wouldn't be able to add. During the movie there's parts where you may wonder, well how did that happen. This book will probably answer most if not all of your questions. The information gaps are filled in. Highly recommend this book. I really enjoyed it. I'm going to get the official book for King of the Monsters next.

I love the film but this is even better. It fills the gaps that left people wondering about several questions that weren't addressed or not fully answered in the movie. Besides that, it nearly connects to past films and comics as well as paying due tribute to the original Kaiju Japanese films and the 1930s/70s King Kong films that started it all. It's a marvelous narrative that despite being fast paced at times, it does a great job in developing these characters and allowing is to see the world through the titans and humans eyes.

Good first

The book works best as a complementary piece to the film. Human characters are fortunely fleshed out and the book does a good job at explaining their decision making without any significant changes to the film's continuity. The human characters actually seemed competent for once. But despite that, I would only recommend it to people that plan to read this before watching the film as the story is pretty weak on its own, it works best at expanding the lore and the character development of the human characters as the two titular titans are barely mentioned throughout the novel, with their epic fights being shortened and rushed through significantly. Nothing special really, but if your a fan of the monsterverse and wish to get more out this fantastic franchise than I highly recommended.

The 4th Movie Novelization completes the four part franchise, hope that it may continue. Delivery was good. Product was well packed. Book was in good condition when I unboxed it. 👍
