Effective Odor Neutralizer Without Heavy Fragrance
I appreciate that this product focuses on neutralizing odors rather than masking them with fragrance. It doesn’t add a “clean smell,” which is exactly what I want. In a home with a service dog, floors and high-traffic areas can sometimes develop lingering odors. This helps address that without harsh chemicals or overpowering scents. It’s been effective, easy to use, and works well as part of regular cleaning.

Works perfectly IF used correctly...
We have a LOT of pets. Consequently, I've had ample opportunity to evaluate many smell removal products over the last 15 years. Without any doubt, Pureayre works. The people complaining that it doesn't work aren't using it correctly. Read and follow the directions exactly and you will be left with nothing but clean air. When first applied, Pureayre Pet does have a slight peppermint smell. It's not a heavy masking or cloying odor and it dissapates quickly. I am extremely sensitive to smells and chemicals and I find Purayre completely safe and effective. It is safe to spray directly on to pets, clothes, furniture, etc. It is non-staining and food safe. When used correctly it does annihilate cat pee, dog pee, trash, and other bad smells. It doesn't cover them, it destroys the source of the odors. We have been using Pureayre Pet for 5 years and I have nothing but good things to say about it. (PS: Just so there's no confusion, this product is not designed for stain removal and consequently does not remove stains. It works only on odors.)

Hands down, the best cat urine odor killer
As a multiple cat owner, there's no way to avoid one of the worst odors in the world: cat urine. PureAyre is the only product I've found that really does eliminate this odor. I've been using it for over 8 years now, ever since I witnessed the founder of the company at a home improvement show squirt it straight into his mouth to prove how safe PureAyre was. I bought a couple of spray bottles at the show and didn't have to wait very long for an opportunity to try it -- my 20 year old cat had peed on her sherpa pad bed again. I rinsed the bed, then heavily sprayed it with PureAyre. Like the instructions say, ideally you should leave it on to work its odor-killing magic until the object dries out. I was truly amazed when no cat pee odor was left! I tried to always have some on hand, even though it was very expensive then. When my latest cat arrived 3 years ago, she decided to mark her territory and outright pee on clothing and worst of all, my $4K nubuck leather couch (which she'd peed on repeatedly before it was discovered). Unfortunately I was out of PureAyre and back then the only way to get it in quantity was to mailorder from the company. In a panic I ran to the pet store and got Nature's Miracle and Simple Solution. After applying both the odor was actually worse, because it smelled like cat pee underneath the cleaning solutions. After this disastrous experiment, I called PureAyre and had them Fedex two gallons to me. I sprayed the outside of the non-removable cushions heavily, used a syringe to inject at least a gallon of PureAyre into the cushions, tipped the couch back, turned on some box fans to help dry it out and crossed my fingers. After 3 days, it wasn't completely dry but the cat pee odor was finally gone and my couch was saved. The important lesson to me was to always always always have PureAyre on hand. As I've become hypersensitive to the smell of cat urine, I now use PureAyre if there's even the faintest whiff of pee or puke, and to freshen up the litter boxes. PureAyre has a slightly herbal, minty aroma that doesn't linger. After many years of dealing with cats peeing on the bed and tearing my hair out, I'd like to share my strategy for dealing with this problem. Most important, the best insurance against worst-case scenarios short of having an airbed is to have a good waterproof mattress cover that's comfortable and doesn't make crinkly plastic noises. On top of my bedding, I always have a Mambe pet blanket which is fleece on both sides with a waterproof membrane in the middle. As a final topper I have a 100% cotton throw which further absorbs the pee or puke. Now when I come home to find someone's had an accident, all I usually have to do is scoop up the Mambe blanket and cotton throw and toss both into the washer (with some PureAyre in the rinse), tumble dry, and everything is squared away well before bedtime. I don't always sleep with the Mambe blanket or cotton throw especially when the weather's warm, but religiously keep the bed covered in this manner especially when I'm not there, when stuff seems to happen. PureAyre is not a disinfectant or even an effective cleaner by itself. It does one thing and that is to positively eliminate the nastiest odors in the air, and in areas and on things you can't put in the washer. The ideal procedure would be to use a cleaning solution (such as non-toxic Simple Green) if possible, thoroughly rinse with water, then end with an application of PureAyre, allowing time so it can fully "eat away" the odor-causing compounds. Believe me, I've tried competing products over the years in an attempt to save money (Nature's Miracle, Simple Solution, Urine Off, Anti-Icky Poo, etc.) and none can compare to PureAyre. If you need disinfecting power, an excellent and very safe disinfectant is a botanical one called Benefect that smells like thyme. Together these two great products tackle all of my tough pet and household conditions and always win.

Gross smelling and has pink chunks
Disgusting smelling. Like the dried blood animal deterrent you put outside for rabbits. Has these nasty pink floating chunks all in it too. I’m past the return window and just went to use it today. Gross

Fantastic Product. Seriously
I had 2 cats of my own and recently inherited 2 more. As you might expect, there was an adjustment period and a bit of a turf war. One of the cats urinated on a new leather couch and on a velvet-like microfiber chaise lounge. I followed the instructions to the tee. However I did not have a syringe or other tool to "inject" as recommended in the instructions so I used a spray bottle with the single stream instead of spray or mist and really soaked the area after treating with water as instructed. It has a minty smell that fades in a short amount of time. And it isn't a bad smell anyway. Even the stain disappeared. It's pricey but well worth it considering it saved the furniture. I read some of the other reviews where people said that it didn't work and was skeptical but relied on the numerous positive reviews. I'm glad I did, because the cat hasn't even returned to the spots. And thank goodness they have all found their places and no more marking of territory! I ordered 2 gallons and still have one. Hopefully I won't have to use it, but the quicker you get to the spot, the better the results.

We are a multi-dog and cat household, and this is a must.
I saw this product on Shark Tank and bought my first pack directly from the company, along with equipment that would allow me to spray down the whole house. The equipment was defective and leaked the liquid everywhere, but the company sent a replacement immediately. No problem since. I loved my first experience with the actual product and recently began buying them in 1-gallon sizes on Amazon. Unfortunately, my first shipment came with the product already leaking into the box. I had to return it and waited for my replacement. Strangely, the replacement never came. The shipment was said to have been delivered, but the box, which contained another order-item, missed the PurAyre entirely. I reported the missing item to Amazon, tried to find out what happened, and have had no luck. I will order it again. The product itself is usually very effective. As it instructs, it needs time to break down the source creating the smell. As such, you have to leave it soaking on the spot affected and can't simply wipe it up immediately. With odors (like mildew, cat/dog urine) in cloth, this product is amazing when combined with detergent and the washer-dryer. I have never had to wash clothing, towels, bedsheets, couch covers more than once. With hard surfaces, this product needs multiple application. It is very easy to run low on this. Also, this product is truly natural and safe, which is very important if you have children, dogs, or cats in the house. On Shark Tank, the inventor sprayed the liquid into his mouth to demonstrate that it can even help with bad breath. The smell of the liquid, when sprayed, is a strange minty smell that isn't pleasing, but it disappears. Unless I somehow find an even more effective and equally natural product, I will always have one of these ready in the house.

Don't Pass Up This Product! It is Wonderful
After wasting more money than I care to admit on "Pet Store" or any other store's odor eliminators, I finally found this product and it offers the absolute best results. I saw the Owner on Shark Tank and the Sharks missed the mark. After I ordered it, I discovered a disgusting old spray bottle with some vinegar still inside; I gagged when I took off the lid and began to toss it in the garbage . I thought, hey wait, let's test this PURE AYRE stuff. I put a capful into the plastic bottle, shook it up and poured it out after about two minutes. I Could Not Believe there was not a trace of a vinegar or any other bad odor. This product has a faint pleasant odor at first but it dissipates to neutral very quickly. I buy it by the gallon; it lasts a long time because it doesn't take much to do a great job on any difficult odors, pet, human, rotten foods, clothing, garbage cans etc. I did buy one small convenient spray bottle as well, because I wanted the proper label on it for others to be aware of its purpose.

Safe and effective
This is a food-grade enzyme that destroys odors rather than masking them. I bought this as a refill, having used up the portion of Pure Ayre that my mom gave me a couple of years ago. My poor kitty had a UTI that I discovered when she began relieving herself all over the house earlier this summer. After I received this shipment, I saturated the affected areas of carpet using a spray bottle. For a day or two, the urine smell was more prevalent, but I believe that is because I had moistened it. Now that the product has done its job and dried, there is a huge improvement in the odor! I may need to apply a second treatement after I go around doing a sniff test at each location. And I did not have to worry about safety for my children or pets because this is not a harmful chemical. An important thing to note is that you will save yourself a lot of guesswork by locating your problem spots with a black light before you apply this product. I got this idea because my mom had included such a light when she gave me my first bottle of Pure Ayre. If you a wondering, my kitty has been to the vet, has completed her antibiotic regimen, and has been given a clean bill of health. Hopefully I won't need to use more of this for removing urine odors any time soon. Perhaps it's time to go after my son's shoes...
