What can we really learn from an event, incidence or even a movie which is based on true story? If this movie is really based on reality of someone life, my impression could be this. The story is about an English spy who admitted that there is no God, so he actually was a godless man who had slept with his best friend 's wife, but he lost this loved one woman in desert in the worst possible way & finally 95% of his whole body succumbed by fire in a plane crash & in the end he begged for mercy euthanasia by injection of huge amount of morphine to put an end on his miserable life. According to the new & old testament, those who are ignoring the God would be reckoning by it on the right time & right place. Isn't it true?

watched it from the beginning to the end. i cried hard and so will you when you watch it alone or with friends!

A Sad Movie -
The flashbacks didn't make watching this movie easy, but most of it came together at the end. The supporting cast, Defoe, Prochnow, Firth, did a good job. Settings were very good, and Ralph Fines endured a lot of makeup. It was still sad.

Worth the watch
This is a lovely film with wonderful cinematograph. Sad bits to be sure and Ralph Finnes is spectacular as the injured pilot. It's worth the watch.
