Reinvent Yourself with Color Me Beautiful: Four Seasons of Color, Makeup, and Style

A classic book that allows the reader to determine which colors go best with his/her skin tone. I had my colors analyzed in 1983 and it’s amazing what a difference it makes to wear the most flattering colors and avoid the ones that make you look tired or unhealthy.

The quality of the construction of this book is great! Thick pages, vibrant color (useful in a book about color). The information is informative and a good foundation for those like myself, interested in becoming a colour analyst. It is also a useful tool for someone who’d like to do a diy assessment on their own color season! Recommended.

After becoming very curious about color theory and reading almost anything I could find on the subject online I decided to purchase two books - one of them being Color Me Beautiful. This book has many color photographs full of varying examples to illustrate the suitability of one season over another. The book also contains hints on make up and style although I find the most beneficial information in the seasonal color section. This book differs from some other books due to the inclusion of purples for autumns. It does not, however, discuss depth or clarity of color. This is something that is not very important to a new beginner but is of more importance once you are familiar with the subject. Overall, I am glad I purchased this book. It is an easy to read and enjoyable learning tool.

Though a few sections I disagreed with, mostly on make up, the rest was very solid advice. Well worth the purchase.

Always knew what were not my colors. Now I know why.

This is a modern update to the classic "Color Me Beautiful," a system using the four seasons to find the colors that look best on you. I've followed various versions of this book and have seen it get more complicated and dumbed down. I have to admit, I still like the original book by Carole Jackson best, because she wrote vividly and seemed to have real passion for the subject. This book lacks those qualities and has nothing new to say. However, if you don't know what season you are, it is a reliable way of finding your best colors. It's absolutely true what a difference color makes in harmonizing with your hair, eyes, and skin tone, and using your season makes shopping and organizing your closet much easier.

Nice book helpful

L' ouvrage se lit rapidement. Les conseils prodigués sont clairs et pratiques. Ceci permet d'appliquer presqu' immédiatement les conseils. J'ai cependant été assez désillusionnée car je n'ai pas le sentiment d'avoir appris quelque chose de révolutionnaire. Je soupçonne le livre d' être vitrine pour les produits recommandés dans l'ouvrage et qui bien entendu sontvmus en vente sur le site de l'autrice.

Literalmente escribieron el libro en cromometría para imagen física. Me certifiqué en diseño de imagen física y al hacer mis estudios no comprendí bien el tema. Con frecuencia citaban el libro así que lo compré y asunto arreglado. Toca temas de ropa, accesorios, cabello, maquillaje y hasta estampados. Además es un libro que tiene una calidad muy linda y colores muy nítidos.

Já conhecia o produto e como fiz uma pós em moda o livro me auxilia no entendimento desse universo. Gostei muito.
