Great study bible
Though evangelical in terms of scholarship, I, as an atheist, really like this study bible. The articles are comprehensive and interesting. Evangelical scholarship can be so much more useful than liberal approaches to scripture quite often. Especially for a neutral like me, who is not a Christian and is only interested in different viewpoints from a critical, and not a devotional, point of view. I have the personal edition, a paperback that does not include all the articles you will find in the main study bible (which I did think i was ordering, but that's my fault!). Anyway, this edition is perfectly good. Full of details. Wonderful maps. Yes, the text is small, but there's a lot to cram in. Brilliant notes, though, as I say, written by evangelicals, so to someone like me, some appear like "spin doctoring" in places. Still, thoroughly excellent. Anyone interested in the bible should own a copy.

Wonderful
Exactly what I was looking for, informative and interesting background information as well as maps and other resources. The commentary is really helpful. I'm glad I bought this and would recommend it to friends. The pages are thin like other reviews have said, but not really any thinner than a standard bible. I haven't had any problems.I think I would have preferred the hardback version, but it was a lot more expensive. I haven't had any problems with the spine or covering though, it seems pretty sturdy for a big book.

ESV Study bible
Bought this study Bible for my theological study course.I find it extremely helpful as it gives a quality background with theological and historical helpful information as no other bible. Ideal for the person not that familiar with the bible, or starting to use the bible, and would like more insight into the actual story or background of the writings. Referencing also briliant!!Cannot fault it!!!!!!!!!

Superb!!
Came early, great product. Really helps you understand the Word and there is the online study guide as well which really helps. Only gripe is that you can't really put it in a bag with other stuff as the paper is very thin and gets easily damaged. To avoid this go for the leather backed bible but that is obviously more expensive.

Solid Study Bible
A very thorough study bible, accurate, impartial and easy to follow.I found this a very well laid out study bible and an invaluable additionto my devotional life.Very hard to put down sometimes as it leads you on a journey through God's holy word.A must, I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Brilliant Bible
There are so many versions of the Bible around. While that is good, it does give a case of choice over-load. This version is an excellent translation with good study notes. However, with hindsight I should have bought the John MacArthur ESV as his study notes are the best in my opinion.

Study bible perfect
Great bible for study

Excellent for personal study
The ESV is an excellent translation (I feel): perhaps not as easy to read at the NIV but with a rather better word-for-word translation (and for this reason, I am surprised it has not replaced the NIV in my church...). The footnotes to this Study Bible are excellent, and give great cross-bible help.

Excellent product
The bible is very nice! It's a personal size, the letters are medium to small. That doesn't bother me, but a person with eye problems might need glasses! I recommend the product
User
Wonderful resource
Nice bible with great information, notes and colourful maps. The notes die is very small needs a magnifying glass or great eyes to read but if getting this bible in this budget is your option you wonโt regret itIf you can spend few bucks go for a leather bound

ESV STUDY BIBLE
I do like it. Only one bad thing is that foot notes and scripture references are very small(I mean very small). If you have problems with vision don't buy it. Buy instead normal size which is just a little bit bigger than this personal version. It has lots of information. I can not wait to read it...

Best Resource Any Bible Reader, Student or Scholar should have
The ESV Study Bible is great. One of the best tools I have invested in. It has always helped me in giving good information even in the difficult to understand verses. Although the level of English is at College level, it is easy to understand.Really happy that Amazon has these in stock and I always get them on the 2nd day. Have bought over 3 of these for my friends and they are all happy with it.The Study Notes are definitely good. There are a ton of maps, charts and illustrations as well to aid you in your Bible Study.NOTE: If you wish to have this Bible as a reference tool and you are going to leave this at home most of the time, buy the hard cover version. It costs less and is worth the money if you're not constantly going to turn its pages. If it's going to be your number one Bible where you will be taking it out and using it a lot, I suggest you pay the extra money and get the leather bound Bible. Leather is more durable than the Hard Cover if the Bible is going to be used a lot. Also, there are some awesome Articles & Resources you get at the back of the original ESV Study Bible (larger in size - [....]) that you don't have in the print version of the ESV Study Bible, Personal Size. To reduce the Bible's size, they have included it as an online resource. So if you want those articles with you, in your Bible, where ever you go, think about getting the ESV Study Bible (link above) instead of the ESV Study Bible, Personal Size.Articles & ResourcesGod's Plan of SalvationBiblical Doctrine: An OverviewBiblical Ethics: An OverviewInterpreting the BibleReading the BibleThe Canon of ScriptureThe Reliability of Bible ManuscriptsArchaeology and the BibleThe Original Languages of the BibleThe SeptuagintHow the New Testament Quotes and Interprets the Old TestamentThe Bible in ChristianityThe Bible and World ReligionsThe Bible and Religious CultsHistory of Salvation in the Old Testament:
