Indispensable is exactly what these are. My husband was in the military for 23 years and used these the entire time. The last 10 years I got so ridiculously busy I had lists EVERYWHERE. Yes I had a planner, notebook.....nothing was sturdy enough for me. These books are opened and closed, shoved in a bag, spilled on, and sitting in the drivers seat of the grocery buggy. My girls crack up now opening old books and seeing their doodles they made while waiting on the other sibling at a sport practice or game, or during a military ceremony. My husband retired 3 years ago and we don’t live extremely close to a PX to just run out and get another book. My husband tried to give me a different one. My coworker purchased something for me with a little sturdier cover than a regular notebook. Neither compare at all. Thank goodness Amazon has my back!! The cover is like a hard back book BUT woven, so sturdier. The pages are not just glued but sewn together. These notebooks are absolutely indispensable.

THESE BOOKS ARE AMAZING. You can do so many activities with these books! Pros: Durability- It's Military grade, enough said. FINE, You can throw them off a mountain top, into an ocean, Poseidon himself would thank you for giving him such an amazing book to write in It's Green - Nothing says I have business to handle like a green cover. Smell - Like Freedom Pages - Easy to write on like a blank check Did I mention it was military grade? Cons: Accessibility: Russia would be able to hack into it with ease Quantity: It's only three. if you were trying to write a trilogy to rival J.R.R. Tolkien it would cost you a lot. Probably best to do it on a computer.

This is ALMOST like the ones I had in the military. The only difference is the cover material. It is paper NOT fabric like the real ones. This is a good book. I am happy with my purchase and will probably buy more when these are full.

I used to get these from supply all the time in the military. Not that I drive truck it is great to have to make notes on each trip... I was using a normal paper pad, but all the paper kept ripping out.. this is perfect for truck drivers

The bindings are durable and the paper seems acid-free and does not discolor. Since I'm on the last few pages of my last government-issued record book, I decided to continue my series of lab notebooks using the same style notebook. The DIY Indispensables 5 ¼ X 8 inch notebooks are identical to my government issued set.
