I really, really enjoy this blaster. I have a collection of fake and or prop guns and I really like the chunky look of this model. The lights are bright, the model is colorful. It has many different noises and I could modify it any number of ways. In reality, I like to think this is the gun that would be used by a kid going out into the woods to go play martians with his friends, only to see something spooky out in the woods, something that looked like a deer, then he flashes the almost-flashlight grade blue light at it to catch 3 pale eyes, horns on its head and it buckles off into the woods with a deafening sound of guttural confusion. I like to think, in this little thought process of mine, that after he's done playing with his friends, he comes home. He finds his house completely abandoned. He finds the windows dimmed. He finds the emptiness of a house close to the woods. He's really scared. That deep kind of scared where you want to cry out for your mom so you hope to god something else doesn't hear you. He stifles a whimper, he hears a noise inside. It was dark when he got home and the reason he was never called out into by his folks is because something took them. He steps forward, frightened beyond compare. Oh god he's terrified but boy, oh boy, does he believe in that toy gun. He opens the door to the kitchen. He steps inside to the same kind of hollow empty and then- Gotcha. No. It's a surprise party. His friends were keeping him busy all day so they could get it ready. That's the happy thing about props, about toys, about fantasy. You can do whatever you want. Not every story has to be a jump-scare-filled nightmare. That is what this blaster reminds me of. Toy, tin, old fashioned blasters with the glitterspark boxes that would whine as you pulled the trigger. The only reason it isn't getting 5 stars is because the secondary, spinning lights behind the barrel crapped out not long after I used it for a bit. Science Fiction game and all that. Really good blaster, entirely recommended for projects, prop work & just plain fun.

My son bought this as his “Ghost Buster” gun. Our two year old has now taken it over and she loves it. She walks all over the house banging it on everything and it hasn’t broke. Definitely a good gun for a toddler. The colors and noise are perfect. They aren’t super loud but it’s just loud enough to keep the kids interested.
