Canon 7981A004 Photo Paper Plus, Matte, 8-1/2 x 11 (Pack of 50 Sheets)

I purchased this photo paper for printing at home and have been very happy with the results. The matte finish looks clean and professional, without glare, and works well for photos as well as graphics and text. The paper feeds smoothly through the printer and feels sturdy without being overly thick. Colors print evenly and dry quickly, with no smudging once handled. I also like that fingerprints aren’t as noticeable compared to glossy paper. Overall, this is reliable photo paper that delivers consistent results and works well for everyday printing projects.

I'm printing on an Epson ET-2550, which uses pigment based inks. I've been testing a lot of papers for a very specific purpose in printing my own trading card game, and for this process, I need an adhesive paper and a paper that can print on both sides. At least one side needs to be a high quality print. I have also been looking for a very specific feature of being able to easily slide cards against each other without having to do anything extra to them to make that happen, but understandably, no paper is ever going to tell me whether it can do that before I try it. Out of all the photo papers I looked at, this looked like the most affordable, so I figured I might as well give it a try. * Print quality is as good or better than any other matte photo paper I have tried. * It's the best price I've seen on photo paper. * You can print on both sides, but the back is like regular paper quality. * I tested its water resistance by getting my finger wet and gently rubbing the print a couple of time, and it looked like it discolored it at first, but after it dried, I can hardly see any difference. For my card game, it doesn't slide against other paper any better than regular paper, but it's not any worse either. I can make it work pretty easily with my current method by rubbing it for a few seconds with the wax paper backing from the sticker paper that goes on the other side of the card. I am worried that it is a bit thinner than some other photo papers, and there might be too much difference between the thickness of my holographic cards and my regular cards. I haven't made final decisions on my holographic paper yet either, but right now at this price point, this paper is a winning choice for the project or for any other matte photo paper needs.

At first was terrified it felt like cardstock. But those are just protective pieces covering the actual sheets. The sheets are perfect! They're matte and work great with canon inkjet. I love this more than glossy paper for particular projects.
