Rubber on cap has awful chemical smell !
I had the bottle rinsed and cap washed in warm soapy water. Started using it immediately. Left water overnight in the bottle. This morning when I poured water out, my water had a weird chemical smell, so I knew it had to come from the new Howard bottle cap. True enough, the rubber on the cap is giving out a strong chemical smell. I’ve never had any issues with those bottles from Japan. Where’s the quality control here? It’s terrible.

So disappointed,
I bought this jug and so disappointment. Its cheap glass and there was a chip. The seller wants me to pay for the return. I would not recommend this water jug. Very cheap glass

Buyer beware - see picture
We never used this pitcher for anything but filtered water, and never ran it through the dishwasher - not even once, and yet some sort of gross film has accumulated on the lid. See picture. YUCK. Stainless steel should not degrade over time. What’s really upsetting is that we contacted the company to let them know, and they were unwilling to send us a new pitcher or even just a new lid! We sent them the attached photo, and nicely explained our situation, and they were still unwilling to indemnify us. That’s simply unacceptable. There are better pitchers out there, and much better customer service out there. Look elsewhere.
