EASYEAH Cooling Patches for Fever Discomfort & Pain Relief, Pack of 12

Purchased to help keep myself and my family cool in the summer months. Placing them in the fridge does make them work better, but they still seemed to help a bit regardless. We place them on our necks and they are comfortable and sticky enough to stay in place for several hours as long as your skin is dry and lotion free before application. The single packages make them convenient for grabbing what you need on the go.

I use these on myself, but they are small enough for a child. They are super cold at first but they warm up after about an hour. They do have a slight scent to them, but not overpowering.

These are effective at making my skin feel cold; good for pain/discomfort relief They don't do too much to reduce core body temperature, though; a wet lukewarm cooling cloth would work better for that. The cooling sensation comes from the menthol and borneol "false-flagging" a cold feeling to receptors in your skin, similar to the "icy" part of IcyHot. They do provide some evaporative cooling, though, in the form of water and glycerin in the hydrogel -- it works sort of like a long-term artificial sweat. It shouldn't be used if you're already sweating; the gel will have trouble sticking and you may make a mess. Be careful to ensure this does not get in your or your child's eyes (they should be old enough that they'll listen when you tell them not to stick their fingers in the gel)! After use, where the gel stuck to should be gently wiped clean, again to ensure it doesn't get in someone's eyes. If it does get in the eyes, just flush thoroughly (gently) with lukewarm water and try not to touch or rub it; it's not poisonous and won't result in long-term vision loss by itself (it's just the rubbing/touching that's the risk).

Bougt these in an effort to keep my husband cool during these hot summer days, as he works outside 10 to 13 hours a day. So far, no complaint! They stay in place and help him to beat the heat.

It is a good product and it works. I used it basically on days that is very hot and have to be out. I did not like the way it does not stick very well.

Affordable nice Cooling Relief

I've been searching for cooling patches to help with a heat intolerance that I developed (along with hot flashes, etc), and until now I've been using cold packs (the one you squeeze and shake) but since they last all of 5 minutes, I've been on the hunt for alternatives. I was hoping these cooling patches would help but they're absolutely pointless. I used it on just a normal 70 degree weather day when I wasn't even hot and it did absolutely nothing. The cooling sensation is just a menthol obviously so it's not an actual *cold* sensation and cannot combat any real heat. I felt a second of "cooling" when I first put the patch on my back, and it went away immediately. I kept it on for about 15 minutes then I took it off. There was a cooling sensation on my back after I took off the patch, but it was a really uncomfortable sensation. Maybe it works better for fevers as the box intended but not for heat intolerances or for any woman looking to combat hot flashes. Back to buying boxes of ice packs.
