Taking the more sensuous elements of island beats, smooth jazz, and R&B, Sade scored major hits with the continental feel of "Smooth Operator" and the sultry stylization of "Your Love Is King." Her voice was often criticized for being thin, yet she made it work to her advantage with songs like the haunting "Jezebel," on which her delivery added the vulnerability necessary to the song. Sade sounded best when she stuck to the lower register, and there is nothing thin about her dynamic handling of her torch song "Is It a Crime." "The Sweetest Taboo" was one of her last great moments before years of mediocrity, chronicled here by the lifeless "Stronger Than Pride" and the limp "Nothing Can Come Between Us." "No Ordinary Love" was a return to form with the smoky richness back in her vocals and the urban/island feel of her first release. Best of Sade goes right up to her hit "Pearls," which, remixed, became a dance floor hit. Love this recompilation, it really has every hit song from Sade. Also the artwork for the album is very pretty and iconic.

Double album version, black vinyl, has heavy feel like my other 180g records. Played perfect, great sound, no skips!!! All great songs that flow together nicely

So happy I found this excellent 2 LP set for such an great price
I bought this album 30 years ago on CD. I gave all my CDs away over 20 years ago and I am just getting back into actually owning physical media again after receiving a turntable for Christmas. Sade was one of the first artists I wanted to collect on vinyl and when I found this I had to jump on it. The quality is excellent and I cannot believe this seller sold it for such an incredible price when other sellers wanted around $20.00 more.

this is an excellent pressing and both records perfectly flat no scratches no ticks package nicely came perfect very pleased and plus I got it on sale for whatever is on sale for but buy it this is a good best of two discs and very very good pressing

Love Sade… Great Press! Amazing Quality Sound!
The first song I ever heard of Sade was Smooth Operator! And yet didn’t knew her name yet. There was a time in my life, when I love a song and didn’t care about who sang it. Years later down the road, I find out her name to another song I loved, Sade! And I got to get this collection because she’s amazing, great voice, beautiful melancholic songs. The vinyl came well packaged, delivered fast, zero damages, but I was very impressed with the sound quality! If something I can said to any new vinyl lover, is, easy with the stylus, lower it gently! In general this is vinyl any vinyl collector needs to have in their collection.

Pleasantly surprised
I really just bought this for Smoother Operator but was pleasantly surprised that there were 3 other songs that I liked that I had heard on the radio (and didn't know it was Sade). Most of the CD is very good. There are only a couple of tracks that I skip.
