I got this to take care of a slow kitchen sink and bathroom sink drain. I used up two large bottles of Draino without success. The next step was going to be a snake or whatever, I decided to try the plunger instead. This worked out well for both sinks and cleared the drains. The only thing was that the black gasket came off when I was working on the sink but that was likely because I was pushing too hard. Just the same, I didn't expect it to come off but maybe by design. Regardless, it's not worth reducing it by a star. Best part is that it worked, and I didn't have to deal with whatever was clogging the drains, like I would have to with a snake.

While my garbage disposal wasn’t working the water eventually wouldn’t drain. Evidently something was stuck & clogged the drain. I just could not see using the commode plunger no matter how much I disinfected it. This was the perfect size & easy to hold. It worked well to unclog the sink fairly quickly. I have difficulty with my right hand but this was easy to use without hurting my hand. I plunged it quite hard & the black rim came off. No worries. Easy to put back on. Very lightweight & small size makes it easy to store under the sink. Price was reasonable. Glad I found it.

Immediately cleared out the kitchen sink with 3 pumps after a week of clogs

Needed a quick, powerful plunger for a kitchen sink clog over Christmas and I was hoping this would be it. Let me tell you - I even paid the extra $2.99 for the same day fee to get it too. I prepared my sink by using the baking soda/vinegar solution and hot water. The plunger didn't last more than 7 thrusts. The thin black rubber-like ring on the bottom loosened up and floated up the yellow barrel. I cannot get it back down to stay on it's own to make it usable. Perhaps if I super glued the black ring to the bottom of the yellow barrel it would work, but come on - 7 thrusts and it already falls apart? I don't think I am that strong to break it. All the plunger did was move water from one sink to the other before it broke. Pass on this. Get yourself a good heavy rubber plunger with wood handle. Don't think you're saving your time, effort or money with this dud. The good heavy duty brown rubber plungers are only a few dollars more but do yourself a favor and buy one now to avoid having to rely on substandard products delivered extra fast for a fee. No slam on Amazon - the slam for this item.

I felt like I overpaid for this item but it works great, at least it saved me a plumber bill.

This works fantastic. I had a slow drain. I was ready to call a plumber. One plung and the drain was open. Saved me a service call.

Cheap material: Now I know it's not a real wood and rubber plunger, but on my third use it punctured and thus the air suction is not as effective. It worked great while it worked.

I had a clog in my bathtub and tried draino with no results. I went on Amazon and found this genius product. Suffice to say, it took one plung to start draining my tub but 2 more plunges and it was good as new. Highly recommend!

I should have read the reviews before buying this product. As mentioned by many others, this is a cheap product and does not look anything like mentioned in the product listing. There is no black rubber at the base but a cheap plastic ring at the bottom. Looking at the multiple rings, one would assume they would flex and create a strong suction but the rings are so rigid and is not flexible at all. Bad quality and does not fit the job.
