I am a typical person and not a Doctor. I am providing my opinion only. I am highly educated and a person who cares about his health and has taken supplements, such as Healthy Heart, for years. Others included Focus-Factor for my brain, which I swear by. If you read this review, you will understand that you own your body and you have to research what is prescribed. I was prescribed a medication for over five years, which was only recommended for two weeks. Studies now show that if you take this medicine for over four weeks the potential for Alzheimer's at age 70 was over 80%. I was prescribed it for over five years and now have had to retire at 71 with a serious memory problem. We have to protect ourselves. There is significant research showing that statins, for example Lipitor and Zocor, are not the best approach to prevent a heart attack. A doctor of mine and I discussed using statins. The organization, a huge western healthcare organization he belonged to, cholesterol's treatment protocol required the use of statins for high LDL (bad) cholesterol. His personal research concluded that statins do not prevent a first heart attack, there was evidence it would potentially prevent a second heart attack. He did not take statins. I have based my decision of non-Big Pharma research. You have to make the decision and assume the risk. My conclusion from my research of statins is that they 1) do not prevent plaque build up in the arteries and 2) they lead to Alzheimer's disease due to attacking the cholesterol in the brain, which is more than 80% cholesterol. Studies showed that when statins were introduced to the public, Alzheimer's diagnosis rose dramatically. Because of this, I sought a natural alternative to statins and my research concluded that Healthy Heart was a very good one to use to promote good heart health. Like many alternatives, it is difficult to determine there effectiveness, you have to look at the ingredient's and studies if they have been performed. In terms of reducing cholesterol, I had very high LDL (bad) for decades and simply my switching to organic type foods, such as Amy's, I reduced my LDL to normal levels. Take responsibility for your health.

I my opinion this is a great product. I take it everyday.
