You’re absolute best choice would be to buy what the John Deere dealer lists, or ask him if there’s a known substitute (that you could later cross reference). He might not tell you, but you could physically match one of these to your old one (threads, gasket area, size (outside diameter & length), number of drain holes, etc. A couple bucks more (or maybe less...did you ask?) for OEM filter verses the cost of an engine is at stake here.
