This is a sleek, light wristwatch that will not weigh you down with its bulk. Forget the gigantic profile of a "survivalist" wristwatch. This unisex model is svelte and slim, not adding much to the wake you generate while swimming, or the swing of your arms while running, or the wind as it passes around your wrists and hands while you are speeding by on your racing bike. This is only 34mm across, by 35mm tall, by 11.5mm thick. The wristband is 13mm at its median working width. Timex styling cannot be beat, and neither is the resin-rubber-like material. I don't know about you, but the price is something I take a good look at. I want a watch that is reasonably priced and high-quality. I don't want to spend $200 to $1000 on a watch and worrying about being careful with it. If it gets smashed, it's only $30 to $50, not a big loss, and the quality is way better than what they were making in the 1980's. These watches are made for athletics and the real world.

I've had the same model of watch for over 15 years. It's had no change in functionality over the time. To date, it's my favorite watch for running. Thin strap and small face make it far less noticeable than alternatives. As for functionality, it counts up, it counts down, and can do so in water. It's great!

I have been wearing Ironman watches for years and will continue to do so for as long as they make them. Smartwatches are the all the rage these days, and I suppose they have lots of great features, but if you just need a watch with basic functions like alarms, stopwatch, and timer, you can't go wrong with an ironman. The battery lasts forever -- the wristband will break eventually much sooner than the battery.

The loop that holds the strap in the buckle tends to break. I just use a couple of rainbow loom rubber bands. A refill pack of hundreds is $3 - $5 locally and comes in a wide range of colors. Loop two bands over the buckle - TWICE - before putting the watch on. When the rubber bands start to get saggy just replace them with a couple more. This can extend the life of the watch by years. Our local Batteries+Bulbs has difficulty replacing the battery correctly, but they eventually get it. This is much less expensive than going to a jeweler or buying a new watch. I think the waterproof feature makes battery replacement tricky. While I don't shower or swim in the watch, it has always remained moisture resistant even after a battery replacement. I've been wearing these for years because they offer 3 alarms that can be set for weekdays, weekends, or daily. I wish the watch band were not quite so stiff as it can be a little uncomfortable. I strongly recommend going with black, because the lighter color bands get grimy and I've not been able to clean them satisfactorily. The mid-size works as a substantial unisex watch, but the Men's version is rather large for a woman.

Great watch, last a very long time

This watch has served me very well. From Arctic waters to long distance races, it has held up to everything except one task I asked of it, which was my fault. This watch can handle repeated free dives to 12 ft deep. It cannot handle scuba diving at the same depth for an hour straight without needing to have the battery shorted to reset it. It fits well, lights up consistently and brightly enough to read without being blinding, keeps accurate time, and generally does everything I want it to.

This is not the regular men's size that I have worn for years. It is very small and is for a child or a woman.

This Timex watch fits my small wrist perfectly and has all the functions I require including chrono, repeat timer for interval training and light for night runs. The strap is comfortable and can be replaced if needed. Timex lasts a long time and I finally had to replace my old watch after it stopped working.
