Can't I just use a stick?

Yes you can use a stick :) But you'd be missing out on the rotator option, ability roast evenly without making a larger messy hole in your food, and it's also hard to find a stick as stiff and effective as a steel skewer...Plus you won't get to experience the customer service that we love to provide. You're always #1 in our book! Thanks!

How many do you get? Is it a set or individual?

You get a total of five(5) in the set. Includes the carry bag too!

What type of metal is this product made of?

Hi Elizabeth, great question! The metal is a non-toxic stainless steel :) Hope that helps! Feel free to ask away if you have any more questions! Warmly, Zach

Are these dishwasher safe?

I listened to another reviewer and put in dishwasher. Took all the paint and color off!!
