I got this mug as a Christmas present from my wife. There are so many reasons I love this mug. For starters, it is big! It holds a good amount of coffee in the morning or tea later in the day. Second, it is very well made. The cup is solid. I wouldn't say that it is heavy, but there is substance to it. I like that quality in a coffee cup. Third, the first line quotations are great. The patterning and color variations are very pleasing, and I can't help but read a few every time I use the cup. Some lines are from books that I have read many times and love while others are from stories that I have never read but have become more interested in. As a former English major and lover of literature (as well as warm beverages), I highly recommend this cup!

First of all these mugs are beautiful: great size, keep coffee/tea warm, and First Lines of Literature...who doesn’t love that?!? If you’re a book lover or know people who are, this is a perfect gift! Additionally, I needed to contact the company and they responded incredibly quickly to resolve a minor issue. I purchased this mug for my daughter-in-law who is an English major. It is a perfect size with beginning quotes from literature. The quotes on the side can serve also as a fun English Literature quiz of the book titles and authors which are listed on the bottom of the mug. What a great way to enjoy a cup of coffee...Just don't spill in your haste to know if you've matched the quotes to the correct titles and authors! I definitely recommend this mug as a clever gift as well as a durable product!

Very nice mug for the enthusiastic literary person in your life. Had fun recalling which line was associated with each work. Good mug, has lasted through the dish washer and such without a problem.

This is the wittiest and smartest mug you will find. Nice quality, nice colors, right size. Will it make your IQ higher while sipping tea... not sure. Short of that I would buy it again. This is a beautiful mug that arrived in no time. (But of course, it's Amazon!) I'm a HS English teacher, and I purchased this for my classroom--more as a conversation starter than as a drinking mug. (I have insulated ones I use for coffee/water.) I was hoping to use it to hold pencils/pens on testing days, but it's slightly shorter (because it's wider) than a typical mug, so there is a tip factor. However, I will find another use for it, because it's all sorts of fabulous. Also, my SMART goal this year is to help students fall back in love with reading, so any references to good literature throughout the room is only going to reinforce that. This mug is thick, is of high-quality, and has gotten lots of compliments. My favorite part? It comes with an insert that directs the owner to their website for an informational video on how to use a mug. (Think: Dharma Initiative from LOST!). The video is purposefully hysterical and will be used in my classroom when we cover satire!

No just kidding. It is the best of mugs!!! So sturdy, and full of literature, with references on the bottom. What's not to like?
