LLR42590 Door Wedge, Blue

I usually do not write reviews, but I just received this wedge today and there are no instructions. So I came back to the Amazon website to see if I could get a clue as to how to install it. - nothing - I read through the reviews and those who had success only said it took them a few minutes to figure it out and then it was “golden” - so to speak. But they offered no helpful advice. Others only complained and said it was useless. So here’s the deal: this wedge is longer on one side . . . that side buts up against the door and the short side buts up against the door jamb. You have to kind of wiggle it into place, but once you do that it does hold the door open very well. It seems to be sturdy enough - at least to keep my 2 yr old grandson from constantly closing the door to his playroom! So, there ya go! I hope this helps!

These stopped the door from closing all the way but they didn’t hold it open where I wanted. Maybe that’s not the intended use, but for me they didn’t help

These are okay Kinda hard to put In and remove from Doors Probably won’t but again and would recommend finding something easier to install They don’t feel very durable Not a good product for price

We have shed doors with smaller than typical door hinges - these work pretty well for them without marring the doors/hinges - have two sets for multiple doors.

I use these at work to keep doors open while I’m cleaning. It’s nice to not have to bend over for those traditional triangle door stops that go under the door especially when your floors are not even or you are trying the clean the floor and the door stop is actually in he way. These sit nicely in the gap between the door and the frame. Easy to insert and remove.

This should only be sold as a two pack. Using only one created a dangerous situation. I think it is a good product but my 3 year old grandson pulled on the hollow core door of a two year old home and pulled off of two hinges. The door stop acted as a fulcrum. If one was at bottom and one at top it would have been prevented. Fortunately no one was injured.

Unfortunately, this product is not as good as we thought. The quality is too cheap and will break after a couple of uses

Too fat and difficult to insert in frame

The material is to way hard and thick to bend to make it fit in the narrow gap between the door and the frame. Instead, i'm using a simple piece of rope that's thin enough to fit in the gap, and i tie a big knot at the end of the rope, of about 1in diameter ball. And i let it hang on the hinge. This prevents the door from closing, at least at about half way.
