Brodart book covers arrived in perfect condition and I was delighted to learn that Manaus Books is a "mom & pop" small business dedicated to protecting books. This is exactly the kind of business I love to support and you should too!

I like these better than the bulk rolls. The bulk roll material is extremely sticky against itself, so two books using the same bulk roll covers stick to each other almost like an adhesive was being used. The material of these pre-cut covers is nowhere near as sticky, if sticky at all. If the dust jackets you're wanting to cover meet the size of these pre-cut covers, I recommend using them.

This center-folding book cover for dust jackets are fairly easy to use and a good price. MAKE A NOTE: The photo of the jacket covers in the Amazon ad shows printing on the jacket covers that it "fits books up to 10"." Yes, the typed description does say it is for book at 91/2" but I would think the picture would match the book sizing. Oh well. The jacket covers are easy to fold and easy to slide the dust jacket into the film for the cover. It would be nice it the company presented the different way to anchor the jacket cover to the book or to itself (so the jacket cover can slide on the book. A little more information on anchoring the jacket would be great, but a terrific librarian showed me how to do different ways to do this. The film is a good thickness and very clear. I think it will serve the graduate school were I teach in Asia will benefit from these covers.

I got these covers to protect my collection of 1950s Winston Science fiction books. While they do come up about a half inch short on the inner flaps I'm perfectly happy with the end result. All the outer edges of the jacket are completely protected so I'm no longer paranoid about handling them. I'm even confident enough to take the books with me on a trip or to read on the train. I decided not to do any taping and everything remains in place just fine. The mylar also has a nice matte/satin quality that really enhances the beautiful artwork of these books. And by the way, if you like 1950s sci-fi check out this Winston series. The cover art is gorgeous and you can find some first editions in pretty good condition for less than a hundred dollars.

These are too short to cover the inside flaps of dust jackets as well, but that's my fault for not checking the measurements. Otherwise good quality.
