Can you turn the light off?

Are you asking about the status led? If you want to turn that off just put a small piece of black electrical tape over it. Like you would on your laptop built in cam.

My router speed is around 400mobs. however my laptop only 45mpbs with tis adapter. it did not increase to 876mpbs for who got 400+, what do you do?

From my experience, it is best to get a MESH type wifi router and connect your computer system via a direct LAN cable. The wifi routers and wifi dongles do not truly optimize network speeds that they advertise.
