OXO Good Grips 11 Pound Stainless Steel Food Scale with Pull-Out Display

This scale does all the things a good scale should do. It is very easy to read - I have vision problems and I can see the numbers well. It switches to grams, kilos , ounces and pounds.The scale remains on for a good amount of time so when I have to find more of an ingredient, the scale doesn’t turn itself off so I lose the weight information.Last, I use large bowls sometimes so being able to pull out the display is extremely helpful!I highly recommend this product. OXO continues to impress.

Bel objet, bien construit. Mais petit bémol concernant la précision : si on met un récipient et qu’on fait le tarage à zéro, après 3..4 minutes la tare dévie légèrement, jusqu’à 5 grammes.

I finally decided that a scale with a larger read out would be easier and more enjoyable to use. First.little bit about me. I have lost a significant amount of weight in the past year, and a major element in my regimen is that I weigh my portions. Second, I have very poor eyesight. I had been using a rather thin, glass topped scale that was entirely touchscreen. It got to a point that realized that a scale with a larger, more legible readout would be more efficient for me. After some research, I settled on this OXO, despite it being more pricey than many of its competitors. I can't express sincerely enough how delighted I am that I paid the little bit extra. Rather than a touchscreen, the scale has tactile buttons on either side of the read out, which is plenty large and vivid enough for me to read easily. The buttons are responsive, and the readout is lightning quick. From other uses, I have a 50 gram testing weight in the house, and the scale is spot on to the exact gram. . I haven’t had it long enough to determine if there will be problems cleaning it. Also, I haven’t used the pull out display panel feature yet, but I have experimented with it when the scale wasn’t in use, and it’s operation is smooth and simple. The only possible negative I can think of is that unlike the very slim profile of the scales that it is replacing, it’s a bit thicker, so storage may or may not be an issue depending on your space available. Simply stated, I am delighted with this scale, and I can't imagine anything providing a better experience.
