Will it fit a 1911 springfield 45 model A1

Yes, it will fit any 1911 without a rail. However, it will come loose after shooting a few rounds. If you put it on tight enough to not come off, then you put dents in the side of the pistol. I tried mine at the range and took it off and tossed it. Save your money.

I assume you mean a 1911 with slim grips. This Pistol Accessory Rail Adapter attaches to the front of the trigger guard and the lower receiver so grips should not be an issue.
