What does the cs mean?

it means cut and sifted. It is generally better to buy buy cut and sifted bulk herbs over powdered as it often retains the volatile oils in herbs. It is like the rough herb they get when they pick it. Also, in storage whole and cut and sifted herbs hold their active constituents better than powdered herbs do.

Is this item easy to use?

i make tea. or i may add to other herbs to make tea, such as basil. oregano, green tea, it is very simple yet very beneficial. thank you

Why the contents in the package doesn't look as it is in advertisement? Now I am not sure that this is Astragalus...

What does yours look like? Mine are always small pieces, like tiny pieces of a dried root.
