Really effective
Really effective dye remover. I didn't follow the instructions on the packet which were for use in a washing machine Instead I filled a bucket with three kettles full of boiling water, topped up with very hot water. I dissolved the powder and put the garments in, stirring to make sure they were properly submerged. The colour lifted almost immediately. I covered the bucket and stirred occasionally, leaving it in for about 15 minutes. By this point most of the dye had been removed. I'm really impressed with this stuff and will definitely buy again.

Effective, but maybe too effective for certain materials
My poor thermal shirt. It arrived smelling so strongly of perfume that I had no choice but to strip the color out of it. I used this color remover, and wow — it worked. It pulled the dye right out, but left the once camouflagecolor fabric a mustard yellow. After that, the shirt wouldn’t accept any black or blue pigment no matter what I tried. So yes, the product is powerful and absolutely removes color, but be aware that some fabrics may not re‑dye well afterward.

Great Product for Giving Clothes a Second Chance!
I got this Rit Color Remover because I wanted something to help with clothing that has unwanted color or discoloration. I hate having to throw away perfectly good clothes when the color is the only problem, so I thought this would be a great product to keep on hand. I like that this is specifically made to remove dye from fabrics rather than just being a regular stain remover. It seems like a useful option for correcting dye mistakes or preparing certain clothes to be dyed a different color. I also appreciate that it comes in individual packets, making it convenient to store until needed. I’m always looking for ways to save money and get more use out of the things we already own. I think this is a handy laundry product to have available, especially with two daughters and plenty of clothes in our household. I’m looking forward to seeing what I can restore with it!
