I meet with a group of fellow guitarists once a week for a jam. I keep the music we play on tablet. I have always used an old band music stand from when my daughter played violin in highschool a couple decades ago. The tablet was just too much for the old (but still serviceable) stand. This unit comes unassembled but is quickly and easily put through. At 6 pounds, heavily built, weighing as much as my guitars. It has its own bag for transport and breaks down to a manageable size between gigs. Easy to assemble come gig time, height adjustable for sitting or standing. And STURDY. I had dropped my tablet numerous times with the other stand. At 35 dollars, it is a bargain. Hard to believe that something as well built as this is so inexpensive (at least as far as music equipment goes). I've got thousands of dollars tied up in instruments but was using an old piece of junk for a music stand. Well worth the money.

This stand is well made and sturdy. it’s easy to collapse for transport in the equally well made duffle, and the range of vertical extension is better than any stand I’ve ever used. It is, as to be expected, somewhat heavier than the flimsy crappy stands, but only somewhat… Excellent—and not just for the money but in general.

I highly recommend this stand. I was carrying around my Manhasset stand for years because I liked the sturdiness of it, but got so tired of its size and lack of portability. This stand is great--sturdy, can even hold an iPad and is so portable because it folds up easily and has its own carrying case. And is pretty easy to put together. I'm so glad I got this! And it's tall enough so if I'm standing up singing, I'll still be able to see my music. I'm 5'6" so hope that helps someone else out. Great value for the cost.

I bought this stand to bring to remote rehearsals. I picked it for it's sturdy "table" area that could hold a binder securely. It meets this requirement well. The tripod base is also very stable and sturdy. It came in several pieces; the tripod and two tubes fit together and can stay together and still fit in the carry bag. This is a plus. The two parts of the "table" that hold the music are held together with screws and knurled nuts that are a little tricky to get properly positioned. When purchasing, I thought the two halves folded. Nope. I found I had to really loosen the screws to get then to slide into the slot on the lower half. When I opened the bag to set up the stand the second time, I found that the hardware had come apart and I'd lost the screws while packing up. I'll find some better ones, it's not a deal breaker, but is the reason for subtracting one star. UPDATE: I was able to find matching hardware with longer screws at Home Depot. Since putting it back together I've taken out out and about a number of times and it has served me well. It is sturdy and the bag is very good. I'd update it 4.5 stars if I could. It's a really good stand once the hardware is updated.

The flimsy stands fall over easily, collapse while is use, fail to hold music, and are easily broken! This unit however, is well built, stable, sturdy, portable, securely holds what every you put on it! 3) Features I Wanted: a.) a sturdy music holder platform that is capable of acting like a small table, multi-functional b.) the music platform is solid metal (with holes cut in to reduce weight), made of (2) pieces that are securely attached together for normal use c.) it has a 2-inch ledge capable of holding a lot of music sheets or even books, includes spring holders d.) the entire frame is sturdy and does not wobble around e.) the entire stand is well designed and fabricated, very sturdy f.) this music stand closely matches my cello stand, and they look like a matching set g.) this stand is a little larger and weighs about 6.5 lbs, but I believe it is still the best choice and will be around for me to use for many years of service, unlike the flimsy units. 4) This specific music stand was selected after a LOT of searching & researching the market, and I am VERY pleased with this unit and I would recommend it to anyone needing to securely hold several music sheets, books, or other study materials without losing them all over the floor! It is also multi-functional, something the flimsy units can NOT do!

This stand is exceptional for the price. I have some heavy music books and this stand is more than sturdy enough to handle them. I am very pleased with this music stand. It collapses easily and stores perfectly in the carrying case. I would highly recommend this product.

Ein sehr stabiler Notenständer, auch für ganze Bücher, gutes Teleskopsystem, am kann ihn problemlos auch so hoch stellen, dass man im stehen spielen kann. Dementsprechend ist er allerdings nicht filigran.

Very sturdy - good value for money. Easy to assemble and adjust the height. Wide enough to fit my iPad and other music sheet in it. All in all a good buy.

Sólido. Pesado pero no tan malo si quieres algo sólido. Facil de armar y desarmar. Unico problema: un poco más de 1 año de uso, uno de los tornillos está desgastado y no sujeta el soporte en su sitio si lo levanto. Entonces, no sirve 100%. Lastima.

Pupitre stable, très robuste, facilement transportable

Very solid and goes up quite high. Excellent while sitting on an orchestra riser to support a heavy folder. The shelf is a good size too so music doesn't slip off.
