My Dad Loves It
I bought this detail sander for my dad, and he's been really happy with it. One of the things he likes most is the dust collection system. It helps keep the work area much cleaner, so there's a lot less mess while sanding. It's also compact, lightweight, and easy to handle, which makes it perfect for smaller projects and tight spaces. He says it's comfortable to use and gets the job done without feeling bulky. So far this has been a great purchase, and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a compact and easy-to-use detail sander.

Powerful, compact, and perfect for small projects
I got this detail sander for some small home projects, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. It’s very lightweight and easy to handle, which makes it perfect for tight corners and detailed areas where bigger sanders just don’t work. The power is great for its size — it sands smoothly and evenly without feeling too aggressive. I used it to smooth wood and remove old paint, and it did the job quickly. The included sandpapers are a nice bonus, so you can start using it right away. One of my favorite features is the dust collection system. It actually helps keep the mess under control, which I really appreciate when working indoors. It’s also not too loud and feels comfortable to use for longer periods. Overall, this is a great tool for DIY projects, especially if you need something compact but still effective. Definitely worth it for the price.

Very handy. Did the job well.
We sanded a 18 x 3 foot countertop. The countertop is 4 years old and has been treated with Tung Oil twice before. There were minor scratches and grooves from wear and tear. We do not cut on the countertop. We used 180 grit then 240 grit. This hand held sander worked great. We did not have any issues with the pads sticking during sanding. It was comfortable in both my wife and my hands. The dust collector was very helpful. It cut the project down considerably over hand sanding. We ran it almost nonstop for about 3 hours with no signs or overheating. We paid for delivery within 3 hours and was delivered earlier than promised. Overall great purchase. Highly recommend.

Gets the job done
In all fairness, I have never used a sander before, so this is my first time. I will start by saying that this is extremely loud and very very strong. However, it does get the job done. I use this to sand down my cabinets before painting them and I must say it did a job well done. I was able to sand down all my cabinets unless the 45 minutes. Now I must say the little bag does catch a lot, but it still does leave a coat of dusting behind that you’ll have to go and clean up afterwards. I didn’t realize that I was using the wrong grit. It does come with different types of grit, which was perfect. So had I realized sooner that I was using a soft grit. I probably would’ve finished a job faster.. All in all I would have given it a five star, but it was it louder than I had expected it to be. I forgot to take a picture of what it looked like after I sanded it, but I will post a picture of what it looks like after I painted.

Excellent Detail Sander for DIY Projects!
This detail sander exceeded my expectations! It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and perfect for sanding corners, edges, and other hard-to-reach areas. The motor is powerful, the sanding is smooth and efficient, and the dust collection bag helps keep the workspace much cleaner. It also comes with multiple sanding pads, which is a great bonus. It’s an excellent tool for furniture refinishing, home repairs, and other DIY projects. Great quality and definitely worth the price!

Excellent
I bought this HYCHIKA FL118A detail sander and it has exceeded my expectations. Its mouse-like design makes it easy to reach corners, edges, and small spaces where a larger sander can't work. It's lightweight, comfortable to hold, and easy to control, even during long sessions. It has good power for sanding wood, removing paint, and achieving fine finishes. Changing the sandpaper is also quick and easy. It's an excellent choice for both DIY projects and small home repairs.

Decent sander with one major flaw- you get what you pay for
This is a pretty good sander right out of the box, and the included sandpaper attachments are a nice addition, but they're also related to a flaw in the overall design. They stick to the sander via a Velcro method; the sandpaper has the "loops" and the sander has the "hooks". The problem is a function of friction. Over time, as the sander gets more and more use, you may begin to notice that the sandpapers aren't exactly staying stuck to the sander when you're trying to use it, and it can be very frustrating. If you investigate what's causing this, you'll notice the layer of Velcro hooks have begun to fray, around the corners at first, as does the adhesive that holds the Velcro layer to the sander. Eventually it becomes evident that what's happening is that both the Velcro layer and the adhesive are simultaneously abrading and melting away. My hope is that once this renders the whole thing useless, I'll be able to just remove what's left of the Velcro layer from the sander, and use double-stick tape, or spray adhesive, to attach cutouts from regular sheets of sandpaper to the sander (with holes punched out for the sawdust collector holes). My concern is that from the appearance of the surface that the Velcro layer is adhered to, so far, doesn't appear to be flat. So unless I can find a way to resolve that.. idk, maybe if I get real creative and layer it with epoxy, or polyurethane, I might be able to make a flat layer on top of it to put the double-stick tape onto (of course I'd have to put wooden dowels into the sawdust collection holes while it cures) If it's not obvious by now, unless you're prepared to get creative with some DIY hacks, then you should be aware that this sander has a fairly limited service life... and it might not even last as long as the pack of included sandpaper attachments do. So yes, it's quite inexpensive, but unless you're just not yet convinced that of this whole "you get what you pay for" thing and need to test that hypothesis one more time, consider spending your money on a tool that's built to last.

Great for DIY
I’ve been really impressed with this HYCHIKA detail sander. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold, and powerful enough to remove old paint, smooth rough wood, and sand tight corners with ease. The 14,000 OPM motor gets the job done quickly, and the included sandpaper assortment is perfect for getting started right away. I also like the dust collection system—it helps keep the workspace much cleaner than expected. This is an excellent tool for furniture refinishing, home repairs, and other DIY projects. Great value for the price!
