I'm looking to purchase a 42" (3.5 foot) travel rod tube. Does the 7 foot rod break into equal 3.5 foot segments? Or should I order a larger tube?

It is made of IM6, great rod and very sensitive. I bought the 2 piece to fit in the back of my truck, works perfect.

Not sure but I bought the gold and I absolutely love it! I actually swapped it out for my G Loomis.
