Can this be used in tandem with the the Harmony Singer 2 to correct pitch, and independently when singing melody alone??

TC Helicon discourages to use in tandem. They prefer us to purchase their single unit that offers both. It shouldn't be a problem to do so but, keep in mind to shut off the echo and reverb on one of the units. Also make sure both units 9v. The Mic Mechanic 1 is a 12 volt. BTW, I have for sale a new never used Harmony Singer 2 for $160 for sale as well as the duplicator for $60

Can this work with a Shure wireless mic? Can it be plugged into the speakers to create the same effects?

Yes you can! Run an XLR cable from the back of your wireless box to the in on the MM2 and then another XLR cable from the MM2 output to a mixing board etc

Is it normal for the batteries to wear out in less than a week?

Unplug your input cable when not in use to save your battery life.
