Ok so this was a test to see if my husband would like it. Not strong smelling so that was good for him since he doesn't ever wear cologne. Hold was really good and it looked even better on his way home from work too so it held all day long. He is in his 60s and is letting his hair grow out, kinda like old pictures of Kenny Rodgers. It holds the sides back just fine and the top does not frizz at all. He has A TON of hair too so we wanted something with more hold than his last product. He HATES using product too so this is working great so far. Not super expensive like so many other clay product types or the stuff we got first from his barber. This is thicker so he has to rub it between both hands really good to spread it out before applying so it doesn't clump anywhere. Great product though. We'll keep getting this one. Picture for reference of his type of hair. Doesn't look like product in it either so doesn't stay wet looking and not super stiff.

Believe it or not I use this for my handlebar mustache and it works great! It's the best product I've found as it has great hold and my wife likes the fragrance. It's the only product I need now.

Is smells good I didn’t care that there was no seal when opening the lid but it does smell good but it don’t hold very good my hair feels dry but does not stay in place I had a different one that held good but they don’t sell them anymore am smell like tea but I we’ll do with what I got with this one it was cheaper then the other ones so decided to give it a try

I use this product and saw that it was no longer available in stores. The point-of-sale displays no longer show 4 containers, just 3 and the clay is not there. Glad to find some on Amazon! Old Spice Clay is the best product I've found to hold my medium-length hairstyle throughout a busy day. . I apply it after wetting one hand, rubbing palms together with a dab of clay between, and working the resultant thin cream thoroughly into my towel damp hair. After a brushing down and pressing in a couple waves, since it is as naturally straight as you can get, I then apply some extra hold hair spray and let it air dry. Once dried, I brush once more, which loosens up the strands and makes it look like there's no product there, then apply one more burst of hair spray. Done! My hair style stays looking good for the rest of the day. I've spent an afternoon cutting grass and it still looks good, yet entirely natural. As you first apply it, it looks whitish on the skin and hair but rubbing it in, that quickly disappears. . Other lotions and gels seem to lose their hold very quickly. Gels in particular make the hair stick together and look unnatural. One puff of wind with lotion and my hair is all out of place. With the clay it imparts a stiffness to the hairs, yet not one that actually looks or feels stiff to the touch. The next day, it still has those great holding qualities, after dampening it back into the style I have. I usually wash it every day and it washes out easily. . I've not tried other clay products. Old Spice works for me and is a very good price at only $4 an ounce. Cheaper than most others. I hope I can continue to buy it!

Absolutely great, it keeps my hair in place for the whole day while smelling great and whenever I need it off, I can wash it right off.

Clay has nice smell, but doesn’t work well. I had clay from schwarzkopf. It was better than this old space. It doesn’t hold my blond hair enough. If it’s windy outside your hair doesn’t hold form. I cannot recommend it.

For reference, I have short-medium thin hair, side part style. I have tried various clays in order to find the one that is perfect for me. The prices have ranged from $25 to $10. I was very cautious about a clay by Old Spice as I relate the brand to hygienic products. But after going through the whole tin, I am pleasantly surprised as how well the clay works and the exceptional value of it. The matte finish was exactly what I was looking for and the hold is medium which again is what I was looking for. The scent may throw you off as it smells soap-ish but once applied, it is barely noticeable. I only need a dime sized product and it covers every hair strand and the tin lasted me for almost 2 months. Overall, highly recommended if you like a matte finish with medium hold. It’s value holds up to those that are pricier.
