Lavanila Vanilla Lemon Deodorant for Women - 2 Oz, 2-Pack ($30 Value)

First time trying it. So far l like it because it’s a light scent n kept me secured all day.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this product as I was looking for alternatives to using harsh chemicals under my arms! So I went ahead and tried this one out and it did not disappoint!!! Not only did it keep me from perspiring and sweating all over but the fact that it's all natural and smells like fresh lemons was just amazing! It has No Parabens! No Aluminum! And is an natural formula and you can tell it does all it says it will do when you use it. I used to sweat a lot throughout the day and didn't want my underarms clogged with chemicals which can cause cancer if they're blocked So this was a great alternative and I only had to use it once maybe once in a blue moon twice a day! The fragrance I got was fresh vanilla lemon which in my opinion is the best smelling one! Get the bigger 2 ounce because I found that the mini's half after use would fall out towards the end. I usually got the 2 pack of 2 oz each because I just cannot afford to run out! Great product! Great Quality!!! Don't bother with the natural ones at CVS or Walgreens as none of them work for me to be honest! This product deserves more than 5 stars!!!

I love this brand and this product for many years since it was first developed! It was one of the first least offensive healthier deodorants that still actually works as far as an anti-per sprint for those of us with chronic illness or who exercise Haveli at Cetera without too many or most any real gnarly chemicals… I’m very selective about what I use and I go back to this product over and over again because nothing else I try is affective for the ingredient quality. I recommend other cents as well but this one does not bother my sensitive skin or immune system health in a seemingly large way at all and if anything really Helps when I am perspiring extra/more than normal from my chronic illness/fevers/Weather/the wrong clothing etc. No other natural deodorant to the stops even some perspiration as much as this product does and I find repeat application throughout the day or night to be perfectly acceptable even with compromised health. You can get things that are more natural but I find them to be too greasy and just not what this does. I have told others about this product for many years now and will continue to be a loyal customer. I’m not sure if this will change but for years this has been my go to vacation deodorant that I always re-purchase right before a trip if I’m running low or while I’m on vacation have it sent to me. I like to have multiple in different locations in case they are needed because I’m so comfortable to use multiple applications that I will gladly reach for the minute I feel feverish or affected in a way that this will assist. The sense to help cover a personal order a bit but the product is truly seem to stop a lot of it up to a point for those of us who have chronic illnesses that cause that problem more than for others. In order to not use heavy duty grade often metal ingredient deodorant I have found this to be the absolute best alternative to anyone who does not want to use something super happy and in a sexual like the Crystal but does not want aluminum and other bad ingredients in their deodorant. Also I’ve had boyfriends and Guy friends use it especially in the plain vanilla or citrus type sense because they don’t really read super girly just sort of fresh and clean. Definitely an anyone product if you’d like it to be. And honestly I would even feel comfortable putting this on my dogs if I wasn’t expecting them to lick it off and heavy amounts. If they needed it as a pod sad or to keep something from chafing like a harness I could see this being a good life hack emergency supply so I keep a stick of it in my go bag/doomsday prep bag and think it would be a good choice for those who have that type of mindset as well. It lasts a long time in the packaging because the stick close is very tightly with the screw Which most others don’t and it lasts a very long time even with multiple daily applications I find I have to replace it only every few months Thanks LaVanila

I have not used typical anti-presperant in years, so for people trying to find a comparison so they can transition to a natural deodorant, this review may not be helpful. What I can tell you, is that out of all the natural deodorants I have tried, this one actually had more of a drying action for me. It still let my skin breath, and allowed me to sweat, but the amount was less than with a salt mineral based deodorant. The texture is a bit on the thicker side, and upon first application I have a slight white residue. This is not seen after a few minutes, and I have had no problems with transfer on dark clothing. I do not feeling of product on my skin is not noticeable throughout the day, but I know it is there because I have to scrub a little (in comparison to a crystal based deodorant) to fully get the product off when I shower. I have sensitive skin, and have not found this product to be irritating. The scent is not a heavy vanilla scent, and does not have a strong citrus smell. In comparison to the company's matching perfume, this scent is less heavy and has less vanilla, and I am able to wear other perfume without any clashing (I do tend to wear perfumes that would go well with this product, such as Sandalwood based or other Citrus/Florals). I do find that the scent lingers on clothing, so you may notice it on layered clothing that do not directly touch you such as outerwear or cardigans. The fragrance can go well for all seasons, as it is pretty balanced. I do find that the scent, and product itself is long lasting on me. I do not need to use a lot of product for it to be effective, so if you are worried about the price, but are also a person who typically uses very little deodorant then it is worth the buy. Because of the texture of the product, I can see how if you are a person who typically needs a lot of deodorant then the product may end up being used quickly. My main reason why I bought this product was because I wanted a natural deodorant that was a little stronger in scent, and longer lasting than a crystal deodorant product. I liked that the texture was slightly thicker, and I was looking for a Citrus Vanilla scent. For me this product is long lasting because I typically use very little deodorant. This is a review for my second purchase of this product, and there are not many things that I end up buying twice.

TL/DR: Give it time, I love this deodorant! Keeps me dry and I do not have to reapply often throughout the day. Story: About two years ago I stopped using antiperspirants and started using deodorant. It was quite the fragrant journey. To spare a long winded story I will just give the highlights. The first product I used that claimed to be "natural" was an Arm & Hammer brand. I do not remember the specific product. The first couple weeks were alright, and then I started to get a slight musk after about 3-4 hours of wear. I knew my body would take time to adjust so I continued to use it for another few weeks. It did not keep me dry at all, I knew there would be some moisture with simply deodorant, but this was outrageous.I am very physically active and this deodorant was just not holding up, let alone in the hot, humid summer. So I switched. I went to Lavanila and at first I really enjoyed it. It kept me a lot dryer than the previous brand I used. It was about 2 months into using it that my body would start to get that funk going on and I would have to reapply every few hours. It was really depressing. It worked so well for the first 2 months. Then why the 5 stars if I am saying negative things about the deodorant? It is because I gave it another try after using a Toms brand. By the time I switched to a Toms brand it was about 8 months after I stopped using antiperspirant. My body was still taking its good ole time getting used to unclogged underarm pores. Needless to say I had the same problem with the Toms as I did with the Arm & Hammer (consistent wetness, constant odor). So I switched back to Lavanila because it actually kept me dry, where as the other two did not. I figured if I had a smell with any deodorant I used, I might as well use the one that keeps me dry. Well, to my surprise I started smelling less and less and required less applications throughout the day. My body was finally adjusting after almost a year and a half off antiperspirant. I would highly recommend this deodorant to anyone, I will purchase it again and I am glad I gave it a second chance. Moral of the story: give it time. I absolutely love this deodorant. Note: I still use the Toms if I forget my regular deodorant or if the Toms is all I have in my gym bag, and it still does not work as well as Lavanila.

I've used this deodorant for over a year now. When I first made the choice to try an organic deodorant, I was super skeptical at how it would go down. I was searching for a healthier alternative to traditional deodorants and anti perspirants, however, I still didn't want to smell bad. After doing lots of online research mainly based on reviews and recommendations from people who have actually tried the product, I decided to try the Lavanila line. When I tried it, it was January. That way, if I were to start to sweat and the deodorant failed to do it's job of keeping me smelling fresh, it wouldn't be as bad as it would be during a sunny day in August. The first couple of days were tricky because I was so conscious of the fact that I was wearing a new deodorant. Here's what I discovered and some recommendations for first time users: -Give It A Couple of Weeks....Most of our bodies are so used to using harsh chemicals to stop sweat or prevent BO. It takes a couple of weeks for everything to balance out. Be patient. -Travel With It....This may sound a little tedious to some, but they make a small travel size that I keep in my handbag/car/desk for touch up. I never actually cut the deodorant and have BO (which would happen with traditional deodorants), but I will start to sometimes smell a little funky under my arms by the end of the day. Again, it's not the sharp repulsive smell of BO, but a softer more natural sweat scent. If I touch up in the late afternoon, it helps tons. -You Will Sweat, You May Smell (but just a little)....This is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant. You will get wet under your arms. And like I mentioned before, you may even start to smell a little towards the end of your day after wearing it for a few hours. BUT, it's not the strong sting of the stench of BO. It's just a natural sweat smell- they are very different. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking to try a healthier deodorant.

First the good: I will say that the texture was amazing. Very velvety and smooth. But then I saw the ingredient list and it really didn't seem as natural as the label hints at. That was sad too. I was fully expecting to smell "grapefruit, lime and vanilla" here and the description details, but was sadly disappointed that it really was reminiscent of baby powder which ranks up there with patchouli in my world...not a fan. I'm sure other folks pick up the scent differently and that's good, but it seems that if you market something with a "scent" it should offer that scent to majority of noses. I currently use another brand that is "grapefruit lemon" and it smells of both and is easy to find the aroma of each one in the deodorant. I know this is my personal opinion - so I don't want to sway others from trying it. It wasn't terribly overpowering, but I don't wear perfume so this was the main smell on my body and it wasn't good for me.

Great natural deodorant. I switched to more natural products during pregnancy, and eventually landed on this product, and I really like it. It doesn't rank as highly on the natural scale as some others, but I'm vastly happier with it than many others. So, here's the NOT-at-all natural antiperspirant I used before, and LOVED it Secret Clinical Strength Smooth Solid Women's Antiperspirant & Deodorant Waterproof All Day Fresh Scent 2.6 Ounce . But, of the natural options I've tried, this is the best. The Green Tidings Green Tidings All Natural Deodorant *Extra Strength, All Day Protection* 2.7oz Unscented worked well, in decreasing sweat and odor and working all day, but even with the unscented version, it irritated my skin a bit. Too bad. The Crystal stick Crystal Body Deodorant Stick - 4.25 oz worked well, in decreasing odor, and I like that it doesn't leave a thick residue, but it didn't decrease sweat for me, and it was a bit of a hassle to use, since it's not wet in itself (piece of advice if you try the Crystal stick: it's just a block of like salt, so you have to either wet it or your armpits to apply it, but I found the best technique was to use the Crystal Spray directly on my armpits, and then rub the Stick on to apply it. That worked best, as it was less messy, and worked better as a combination than the Spray does by itself. It doesn't really improve the efficacy of the stick, which always works well, but it's just too messy to apply with water I thought.) Truly's Truly's Natural Deodorant, ORGANIC works decently, but it's such a pain to apply the paste versus a deodorant stick, so the fact that it also leaves a residue and doesn't always last a full day, made it not worthwhile. So, all in all, I'm very happy with the Lavanila deodorant: it lasts all day, doesn't leave much of a residue, and adequately decreases sweat and odor without irritating my skin.

Wow. I stopped using aluminum products under my arms and everyone said to be prepared for the worst! Well. Here's what happened: 1. The first week I sweated like crazy and didn't enjoy it much. And yes, it wasn't a good smell. I was washing every 30 minutes or so. 2. The second week I got this deodorant and something in it took care of the smell! Still sweating like crazy, though. But at least more comfortable about the odor. 3. The third week, less sweating! Still no smell thanks to this stuff - other than the nice mild vanilla scent, of course. 4. Now, three months later, I can't believe how much less I'm sweating. I guess the anti-perspirant, while it blocks sweat, creates an irritation for me that creates more sweat that it then has to block even more. Vicious cycle. 5. Sometimes I still use the stick because it smells nice, but I don't need to use it every day. Moral of the story: It's okay to stop using anti-perspirant, but make sure you get one of these sticks to make your life easier during the transition!

I love this deodorant. All the deodorant from this company are great. I have terrible allergies to most deodorant I use but I had no problem at all with these. They smell good, work well and are all natural. So far, it is the best natural deodorant I've used. Im very happy I found this product!

This is by far my favourite deodorant, only wish it was a bit less expensive, but it is worth the price to me - smells really lovely but not overpowering, and really works for me. I do have to remember not to pull dark coloured clothes over the top, as it leaves white marks like most deodorants, but it is a natural, healthy product that works a treat and smells wonderful, so five stars from me.
