How does this work? Do you put the ink in the regular cartridge some way?

Hi, no this is not to refill a regular cartridge. I have an Epson ET-2550. The ink bottles refill the tanks. This is the best printer! It costs a litlle more upfront but the cost savings from not buying cartridges is huge!! We print a lot and i have only to refill the tanks maybe once a year. The bottles much cheaper than cartridges.

Can i use it for image transfer on t-shirts?

No. This is not sublimation ink.

Is it pigment ink? I need it for epson wf-c5790 printer

This is dye based ink, for wf-c5790 you would need Epson T-902 or T-902XL.
