So is there a problem with leaving this in longer then 30 hours? I wasn't getting fully formed balls and left in in for 40 and I had perfect results.

You can risk cracking the inner water reservoir. Typically they should be frozen in 24-30 hours, any longer you risk freezing the water entirely which can cause it to expand and crack.

Does this product come with the same features and packaging as the product ordered directly from the wintersmiths website?

As far as I can tell, it comes with everything in the kit. As others have stated, it comes in the Wintersmith box and it is ready for use....You can make ice balls immediately. The only additional purchase I made was some plastic storage tubes so I could make enough balls for a large group event..... It works amazingly well.....

what size are the ice balls?

My daughter and wife told me I had to stop telling people about my ice balls. Now I call them ice spheres :) They are 2 1/2" The system works great.
