STOTT PILATES Flex-Band Two-Pack

Decent quality and great length. I am just shy of 6ft tall and I have absolutely no problems with positions that require foot holds with arm stretches beyond the head. It's a latex type of plastic and the two colours offer the perfect amount of elasticity in them for beginner/intermediate levels, possibly higher. I recommend you purchase the Stott body sculpting DVD to compliment this. A great workout. The only negatives are the temporary plastic odor when you first unwrap it (vanishes after a couple of days), also it does tend to pick up any spec of anything from the floor - but straightforward to wipe down. These are of excellent quality. Of the 2 bands, one is of higher tension for a harder workout and each band is well marked as to which carries the greater tension. I had tried other bands and some were so thin they would constantly stick together. I've tried others that were not long enough to do Pilates workouts which require you to stand on the middle of the band and raise your arms above your head. These are nice and long and can be used for any workout. There is a slight rubbery odor, but it subsides after using these for a while. Overall, I am very pleased for the quality and the price. I am a Pilates instructor and have used these bands in my studio group and private classes for years! They are very high quality. I wipe them down with an essential oil based cleaner after each use with just a cotton washcloth to keep them sanitized between clients and allow them to hang dry naturally over a wooden rod. I monitor the bands regularly and set aside any that get small tears. I usually cut off the bad part and set the remaining long part for other use. I get several years use out of each band...very good brand!

These bands are not as strong as the orange light band that is non-latex. They are okay for some exercises but probably won't hold up very long. I like the length. These were ordered to have a complete light, medium, and strong set. Instead they are light, lighter, and the orange being the strongest.

I wanted to replace a medium strength band I was given for physical therapy on frozen shoulder. I needed at least 5 foot length & most available were too short. This was 6 feet so I cut off a foot, but otherwise worked fine. The PT one was hypoallergenic (no latex) and the oder of these was a bit strong, but I store in zip lock bag when not in use so it is manageable. I initially agreed with some who said the blue & green bands seemed comparable in resistance, but while I can use the blue band on some exercises I had done previously with my old "green" band, others clearly required me to stay with the new green band, so I do believe the blue band has greater resistance - but not extremely more. I loved these were long enough to knot to create hand holds and still work to go around door knobs and provide tension needed for PT exercises. Would buy again, though the latex odor is irritating (& clearly they would not work if one is allergic!)

I am a beginner to Pilates, but I didn't want to take a class to dive in full strength. Just wanted to tone up without all the gadgets. This 2 pack is perfect. At $10 roughly for 2 bands, it's a steal, and I have had no problems with it at all. No horror stories of it slapping me in the face or breaking apart. It's long enough for me and strong enough for the average workout. Perfect for dipping your toe into the Pilates movement.

I needed to replace some Gaiam bands and I like these better. I had some old Gaiam resistance bands. They picked up every little linty dusty bit. They never cleaned well. These bands from Stott seem like a better material. I guess it's less porous, they are smoother, but not slippery. So much better! Now I like using the bands. :)

This product was a disappointment to me. I'm sure I just misunderstood what was being sold but I thought the bands came with DVD or booklet on exercises to do with them. It did not, you have to buy the DVD separately. The bands are fine, they do stink and leave the smell on your hands all day no matter how much you scrub them, but I guess that's to be expected from rubber. Just disappointed overall, though I'm sure it's my own fault.
