great product
I was a bit timid to purchase something like this for the motorcycle since I ride with half helmets. After purchasing this item and trying it out the first day I really liked it. I ride a Dyna Super Glide with a windshield and very loud pipes. The features of this product are very simple and easy to use while riding and dont distract you like iPods and other devices. I have synchronized the Sena with my smart phone and have enjoyed Pandora, music on the phone, or I just use the FM radio built in to the device. It will support short wave radio as well as GPS navigation via blue tooth. The music played through the headset is good to listen to and is not drowned out by the bike at all. I have used the blue tooth phone call feature and it actually was quite clear on both ends of the conversation. The intercom feature will pick up some of the louder ambient noise and you will hear it through the mic but any conversation trumps it. My lady and I enjoy going out on the bike a lot more often now since we can have a conversation and not have to shout to each other. She will use the navigation functions on her phone and it will give her directions and she can relay them to me. For an intercom headset for half helmets it is quite nice and I just wish I would have bought them earlier. I would recommend buying a double USB cigarette outlet plug in to keep the headsets charging or charged while riding if you do not have 2 cigarette outlets on it. They do come with a charger that will work for cigarette outlets, but the double USB is also nice to charge the smart phone if you are using it for navigation as well during your rides. Highly recommended.

Must have for touring in a group !
Just back from a 3800km trip using the headsets. Great piece of technology. There were 5 riders and 4 with headsets.Once we figured out the connecting part all was good. Battery life was good - we kept them on/live at all times and I would estimate 5 hrs of life. We did have an issue with one of the riders sending out noise like rain hitting a tin roof - not sure what was causing it. He did have a low profile windshield and we tried to eliminate the noise but had no luck. It didn't cause too much trouble - more annoying then anything. We did put larger windsocks over the microphones to cut down on some of the wind noise. When using with just 1 other rider they were flawless but it seems that when you add others the background noise increases. The range is pretty good - I would estimate maybe 1/2 a KM and mostly line of sight. We rode in some heavy rain and I did notice one of my ear pieces did crap out from time to time - but other than that all was good. Only drawback I see is the 4 headset max - would be nice to be able to add more.

TWO THUMBS UP !! VERY IMPRESSIVE !!
W.O.W !!! ...three letters that resume my satisfaction !! I didn't had time to go through all the options, but I tried the phone & music and I am so impressed !! The person at the other end of the phone just couldn't believe I was really riding my bike at that time, and the music is so crystal clear, I would recommand the SPH10H-FM to anyone who is looking for a reliable telecom system. I give it 5 stars !! ;-)

Quality produce with lots of features
Recently upgraded from a Scala to this Sena headset. I couldn't be more pleased. Great sound and volume even on an open face helmet and a Harley at 60mph. I called my daughter shortly after I installed the Sena and she didn't believe me when I told her I was on the bike. Noise canceling works great! Installation is easy. My only complaint is the instructions could have been a little clearer on how to disconnect the main Sena unit from the wire/connector. There is a small cover that also locks the connector to the main unit and it hinges away (not toward) the Sena. I started prying the wrong way (glad I didn't break it). Eventually figured out my mistake after watching a video online. Speakers work well for their size. Yes a little "tinny" but that's to be expected. If you want booming bass get a pair of external speakers. Control knob takes some getting used to as there are multiple functions. But once you get the hang of it, it is very intuitive. Pairs flawlessly to my phone and a Sena SR10 (for mobile ham radio). Note: read the instructions on multi point pairing! I failed to RTM at first and couldn't figure out why my phone only played music when the SR10 was connected.

Good option for communicating between bikes or listening to your GPS
If you're a motorcycle rider, and you want to communicate with someone riding b ... in the back seat ... or on another bike (or group of bikes), this is a good option. It is also useful if you need to hear your GPS or answer a call while riding. The music quality, however, is terrible. PROS: * Battery life is good for at least 5 hours of constant use - probably a bit more. * Fairly easy to attach and remove to your helmet. * Phone pairing and pairing with other headsets is fast. * Can hear others pretty clearly - even on the highway. CONS: * These do not work well with the "novelty" helmets (non DOT certified). You can force a fit on most models, but it is clunky at best. * Music quality is terrible. * These try to do too much - there are so many different patterns to remember to try to turn on FM radio, switch to bluetooth, share music, answer calls, etc. You'll likely use those mostly to sync with other units and to listen to bluetooth (the other features look nifty, but they're just too much to remember - particularly when you're riding). * The "intercom" mode picks up all the wind noise - so you'll constantly hear the crackling of the other persons mic. The only other option is to manually turn the intercom on or off which - in most cases - isn't very practical. I don't know that there's a better option for this, however. There's so much noise when you're on a bike wearing a half-helmet, that I don't think noise sensing technology can shut that out. * If you want to use this to communicate with someone else, they will need some sort of headset too. These do appear to pair with other devices, so they may not be required to use this particular headset. * Many functions appear to rely on a firmware upgrade (easy to do - but probably not for the non-technical folks). And some features are turned on or off via your computer (so if you're on a trip and you don't have your laptop with you, you're out of luck until you get back home).
